Yes Cali is all sunny and full of environmentalist but it is also home to the largest gang and drug dealer population. Something you mid us folk are not always use to. Although they got smarter now and days and leave most normal folks alone.

Yes I not too sure what tactical awareness means but I know what situational awareness is.

I prefer not carry any firearm because of high possibility of hurting bystander. your brain and hands are the deadliest weapons known to man. Just some examples: your eyes take less than 5 lb of pressure to pop, your nose takes less than 15 lbs to break, esophagus take less than 10lbs to collapse, your temple takes less then 20lbs, knee cap, neck vertebrae, balls, foot/toes, joints, hell your jugular is mere skin deep. In a close quarter crowded urban situation a gun is more of a liability.

Not that we Cali people don't know how to use a gun but some of us simply choose not to, not to say that renders us helpless in a gun fight.......if certain situation does arise my opponent should be thankful I used my taser instead of my hands.

Pm me and we can chat about that.

I like to give you guys a hard time because of your BS leadership. But I know a little about how it is out there as I was a resident for awhile myself. It was the fastest place I've ever been. Never seemed to slow down.. LA is just crazy. And honestly I wouldnt want to go anywhere in LA WITHOUT a gun.. but thats just me. Understanding human anatomy and pressure points will always give you the upper hand in a fight. But the problem in most urban areas where this would be implemented is that they would probably have a gun. And even Bruce Lee cant dodge a bullet.

I don't need to be within arms reach to use a gun so your theory is flawed...Also, you will only hit a bystander if you are untrained and miss what you were aiming for. Most people's brains are only harmful to others because they don't get used enough and they watch too much liberal media that teaches them guns are dangerous and a "liability". Based on your argument your hands are a liability. There is no limit to the damage they can do! Please stay in California. Rant over.

Topic related:
I researched and bought a roof rack this weekend.
Who did you buy it from?? :smokin:

Tactical awareness is what you need to know once your situational awareness tells you something bad going down.

Knowing and understanding where to be and where not to be. Cut the pie, don't hide behind an office chair ect.

While I understand your points concerning hand to gun combat, you want to end the fight and get out of the situation. Letting someone with an AR15 who has already shot two deputy's in the face close enough to put my hands on them... No thanks. I'll take my chances as far out as I can get and with cover between me and them.

End off topic chat.

This weekend I continued to work on my hi steer a bit, still working out clearance issues. Hope to have new direction this week.

First, I wouldn't be going to look for trouble, get away from trouble is always the safest method. Second, who said I need to dodge a bullet?(that's all I'm gonna tell you) ;)

Just because I am not at arms length doesn't mean my hands can't cause great harm and because of that I always would use my taser first. And third, guns are very dangerous especially for crowded area.
But let's just say I know how to use one( I have friends who are marine snipers and that's all they will tell me). ;)

back to tech: had a very productive weekend!

Installed the Aussie locker been sitting in my cruiser for months! Tip here is always have extra thrust washer in different sizes(I needed the thinnest one) and third member gasket at at hand before the job.

Install wheel skin steering wheel cover. Wow really nice! Be sure to wear good gloves because you need to keep constant tension on the string.

Installed a set of functioning visors, not bumping my head into the drooping visor!

Now I just need to go test out the locker and install underdawg bumper and rack once they get here.

@UnderDawg: where are my stuff? Hahhaa btw since I asked for bullbar and other customization will my bumper get its own thread?

Replaced the gears and end caps in both the DS and PS front seats so they both fully function again.

This post is why the rest of the country hates CA and thinks we're a state of nutjobs.

To the rest of you, keep in mind people living in the big coastal cities are weird and delusional and don't represent all of our views. The rest of us in CA are normal. You'd be surprised how many in this state are actually constitutionally conservative

Tech: I worked on my bumper

Can I make a motion to move politics to a different place? I'm glad we are all vocal and proactive humans. 'Mud is a great sanctuary from the news cycle

Fixed (disabled) my auto door lock feature over the weekend. Like using a cheat code on Nintendo : )

Where did you get the LED kit from? Thanks

Superbrightleds has everything you will need. Due to my "new guy" status I cannot post the link. They aren't the cheapest, but I have ordered through these guys in the past and everything worked perfectly. I didn't use leds in the turn signals due to the need of a load resistor.

That looks great. Can you dim the dash / gauges LEDs?

Yes you can dim the dash leds. The bulbs are polarized, so if you do this mod don't freak when you install them and they don't work. Just flip them around in the connector/socket, and let there be light. That goes for all lights.

threw some surf boards on the roof, 5 days at the beach, followed by 3 days camping with the lions and the buffalo out on the savanna. It was a long weekend.

Tactical fighting infinite knowledge hand to hand combat guns dont kill people AR15 sit on my face.

The hell are you jabronis even talking about?

He said "jabronis".... Cool.

Tec question: anyone have good ideas how to keep a TRE from spinning while tightening down the castle nut. The TRE spins and won't allow me to get the nut down. I've cleaned it up really well and even tried chalk to give the TRE something to bite...
