Pulled the neighbors stuck chevy out of their lot. The surface was wet grass so i had to be really soft with the gas. The 80 is indeed an incredible vehicle. 
Drove the snot out of it!!!!

Looks great but needs a new front bumper... I know a guy that can help you.
Made it to the TSF and had a lot of fun planting pumpkin seeds (using high velocity lead spreading devices) and then playing on a couple trails.
For the record, I LOVE my lockers. They also give me more confidence at the bottom of hills than I should have.
No whammies, but it was very close. I need new tires! Toyo Open Country H/T are OK street tires, they are not OK trail tires when it has been raining for the last week.

Collected some meat for the freezer. I kinda miss having a pickup sometimes.
Got my Land Pig emblem from toyota.
Finally got the running boards removed and got some proper tires (Duratrac's). Took it onto a trail for the first time today. The snow made it interesting, especially considering it was in GA!

My LR window glass came off the track and down into my door. LCP lent a hand to help get it back into position and got it properly working again.
Replaced rear speakers in the lx450 with Polk db651s. An easy project after you get the first one figured out. Next are the fronts. Wc

I like to wheel my 80. I don't baby it through the brush and have broken several antennas off my bumper from branches to give you an idea. Don't get me wrong, I don't go out of my way to find brush but won't let it stop me either. No, I don't carry loppers in my truck...ha
Because of 2 factors: one being the pride I have in my LC and every vehicle I've ever owned, and my job at Toyota, I want and like my 80 looking good. I have had my 80 for almost ten years and have always detailed it where the scratches are buffed out. It doesn't help that I have the maroon color where the scratches in the clear show up white and are very visible against the dark color. ( I tease my friends in their many white 80's but at least the white hides the scratches much, much better.) I've had this truck buffed professionally with orbitals so many times I can't count. The factory clear is so deep, its lasted much longer than I ever anticipated. Someone I wheel with frequently, Landcruiserphil, warned me years ago that he did the same to his previous tricked out black 80 and buffed through. ( probably why he owns a white one now!?)
Now in a handful of spots the clearcoat is gone and the buffing is now starting to get into the first layers of the paint itself. In certain light if you know where to look, in spots the maroon looks more goldish. Its not like you can see the metal or undercoat. Just the paint is changing color slightly where no clear is left to protect it.
I still plan on keeping my 80 for many more years to come. I've slowly dialed it in to just what I personally want in an 80 and love the old gal.
so...I ended up getting her repainted with 4 layers of high quality clearcoat so I can continue to wheel;desert pinstripe;buff;repeat
while I was at it I had them remove the rear sombrero, weld the holes, and remove the large Landcruiser emblem on the tailgate for a cleaner look.

If you don't mind me asking( maybe I missed it) but how much did it cost to have it repainted? I took my 100 series in the other day to get a quote for repaint and they quoted me $9200.00! I thought that was crazy!
pulled my ARB off, after 10 years its getting a bit ruff around the edges, and I located a place to blast and powdercoat it back to new[hopefully]
if this goes well, im going to get a set of factory wheels and have the same guy do them in a bright silver and see how they look with some 35's.

I changed my oil, took the gangster lean out of the drivers seat by replacing missing bolts in the seat hinge, replaced my belts, replaced the top radiator hose and hung a sweet Bigfoot air freshener from the rear view. Did a little dirt road driving, washed it and vacuumed it and then cracked a beer. Almost 2 months into owning my truck and I'm happy to be getting near the end of my baselining/PM task list.
