Where in Colorado are you running out of torque as the factory crawl ratio is 60:1? Are you sure you’re actually in Low. The 3.11 is a great upgrade but I don’t know anyone who did it because they ran out of power.
I'm pushing 37's with a relatively heavy beadlock - so let's say it's about 124# per corner on stock gears. My rig weighed 6080# last time I checked with a full tank and some camping gear.

I like to take the "pro" line when I can on med/hard trails within reason. I've built this rig up to run a range of trails on the harder end of the spectrum, just try to stay away from the basically-guaranteed body damage runs.

The two trails that I'm talking about specifically would be:

- Wheeler Lake - left side line next to the v-notch. I was able to make it, but I had to give it everything from a stop to get her to move. Trans definitely bogged down with the pedal to the floor - at that point I wasn't going to move forward. Had to reverse a little to gain momentum but would rather have more control.

- Grizzly Gulch (Lake) - the first obstacle crossing the creek is a nice ledge. Got the front end up easily but couldn't bring the b00ty up without running out of steam.

I have videos of both obstacles and will run both again soon to compare.

Again, I was able to clear those lines but would ideally like more control if possible with the auto trans.

Ah gotcha, my rig is about the same weight but in 35s, I think I know the exact spot you are talking about on wheeler lake where the left line is like a shear climb, that can be a tough one.

You are definitely due for some gear reduction with those tires and wheeling.

Thanks for the insight.

This was two weekends back before I took our truck into @2KCruiser for some TLC (including the manual seat conversion which is fantastic.)
Just some good Eastern Sierra camping with the family. My wife prefers offroading the 80 so I use the LR3 (now that the kids are about as tall as we are, two older rigs seems to fit our needs better than upgrading to a fullsize, especially because we have a few favorite campsites down some narrow trails)

Both are quite capable but the 80 has our heart. Didn't get up into anything hardcore this trip, but plan to this weekend.

You're welcome!

The only way to possibly compare/understand different rigs' capabilities without individually driving them is by the trails/lines you've run in yours.

Pictures/videos never accurately represent the actual pitch in real life, but the attached picture does a decent job showing that line at Wheeler Lake.

Took the LX and M101 CDN to Indiana to meet my brothers and sister to sort through my parent's estate. Looked like I was driving a hoarder vehicle once it was loaded, but felt like Christmas in reverse.

That Ouray SAR cruiser is for sale, or so I'm told 🤫
