@WoodsmanNC Where you at in NC? Looks like mountains. A 40 a 60 and an 80; you’d fit right in with ONSC clubhouse. Tagged you in the members section.

Installed some FJC Toyota steelies I picked up.

I’m a fan! FJC Steelies widened to 17x9 going on soon.

Did you correct the backspace while you were at it?
Just added to the front of the wheel.
Incoming set will have BS correction.
And it’s expensive AF.
Old hot rodder did last set not bad but not up to my standards.
After mounting them I wouldn’t be comfortable putting them on someone else’s rig.
They do look nice !

Thanks!
Looking forward to the new look.
I’m calling it a Poverty Plus.
As soon as I get it dialed I will share pics.
Up to my eyeballs in a full engine rebuild; hoping to start dressing a motor here over the Christmas holiday.🎄

Rant on ...

Car was reading 12 volt when idle, checked and the alternator was lose. 2 hrs of sweating, swearing and grumbling passed and i managed to get it tight again.
Now the bolt was too small hence whey it was moving, both belts badly worn and the genius who did the previous poop job replaced the 12 bolt tighting screw with an alen key one.

Battery removed got it running and took it to mechanic.

Rant off

Mechanic changed fuel filter, 2 alternator belts and currently fixing the exhaust (i smelled exhaust so found out another leak at the back)

🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬

FYI, come through the LHS wheel well with about 20” of extension and you can easily adjust the alternator adjusting bolt.

Cheers

That would work woth standard 12 bolt, car was out of spec. Even worse is that the alen key was badly worn.

After mechanic changed bolts i can do that now.
Installed original belts and got spare set.

Got the exhaust repaired as well by a work shop. Not as neat as original but far less fume smell but i still think there is still a leak somewhere as i still smell fumes in the car.

I will do a positive pressure test from exhaust as a next step and see.

The AC tube was also touching the exhaust, it has melted but hopefully not all the way to cause a leak. Will check on that later on

The leak is behind the coolant bypass tube and the exhaust header. The blue fizzer thing is a combustion leak detector. If test fluid stays blue you're good... probably.
