Nice! Shameless plug I love love my 4:88!On thursday I snuck into the garage before the Christmas festivities began so I could get my front end back together. Front diff reinstalled with a fresh set of 4.88's. Replaced the inner axle seals since I was in there (the old ones weren't leaking but, oh well). New knuckle felts/wipers etc. Repacked all the bearings. The bearings all looked good except for one outer wheel bearing so that one got replaced. Nitro chromo axles/birfs.

Did you get a chance to check the snow depth on that weather station? LOL
Rigs looking great nice bumper!!! Did you ever find a nice collectors edition for your brother in law? We got about 8” at the house in forest grove OR.
Go sheelmann all day I have only bought the driver xxl so far and honestly probable will never buy a passenger. Toby was great to deal with and you can go sit in the seats at his office by the pdx airport. $2300 is a tough pill to swallow but like said already I can drive for hours with no regrets. They also come with seat heaters already installed. Thanks, been debating both. The only plus for Recaros is the JDM cool factor and they do have heated and cooled options. But comfort takes priority. Did you use the extended sliders?
The process to title a jdm rig in Washington is neat. So neat I've had my rig a month and still have no plates at allPassed the only DOT required inspection today!
Probably the happiest person in the state that their DMV inspection went well
Going to DMV tomorrow to get real plates
Really? I've had mine for a month bought in WA and retitled in Oregon. I still don't have plates either because the DMV is a nightmare, supposedly they are coming, but based on records it look like it took the dealer I bought it from in WA maybe 2 months or less to title it after it arrived in the USA.The process to title a jdm rig in Washington is neat. Thanks for the bumper! Some lowlife at work decided to unlatch the tire carrier and stuck gum underneath the safety pin. When I took a corner the spare tire/Hi Lift arm swung out. Only damage was a bent ball stud mount for the strut. Slee had the part for me in a couple days.Rigs looking great nice bumper!!! Did you ever find a nice collectors edition for your brother in law? That being said, OR has a moratorium on traffic stops for expired plates/tags/trip permits during Covid. WA have anything similar?
They have to appraise it separately? Not what you paid for it on a Bill of Sale?To the second part, no idea.
Washington requires me to get it appraised at a dealer and submit the paperwork in order for them to assess taxes.
I bought mine already titled and private party.
But first I had to wait for the title from the kid I bought it from. That took a few weeks. Then it was in the shop getting a new trans, that was another week. Now it's the holidays. So it'll be next year before anything happens.
Excessive taxation? Sounds like you're familiar with WA State! With no income tax here the government finds any way they can to increase other taxes. They have to appraise it separately? Not what you paid for it on a Bill of Sale?
That sounds like excessive taxation. Should only be taxable on what you paid for it.
Well, I think it's worth a million dollars if I have to insure or sell it, but only $1 if I'm going to title it.
Welcome!Picked up my 96 FZJ80 with only 95k miles last weekend. Had someone mention the forum, glad to be a part of it nowI look forward to updating the build after baselining.
