Locked everything just because. It had been a couple of months.
I need to check this out. Freeway speeds over some time it creeps upper 3/4 of temp gauge... but I don't know if that's normal for a 3FE as this is my first land cruiser.
I am using the toyocomobd1 to monitor engine temp@206 my factory guage(needle) never went above halfway

Not normal for a 3fe, I would highly recommend a full cooling system overhaul if it hasn't been done in the last 5 years. Water pump, thermostat & oring, new fan, fan clutch, radiator, hoses, etc. It wont be long until parts are unobtanium. The 3fe is much less likely to blow a head gasket than the 1fzfe but any engine will lose the head gasket if it is overheated and ran hot. The 3fe is not a motor I would want to do a head gasket on because I am sure there would be discontinued parts needed.

yes much quieter on start up,the old fan would roar insanely loud until warm.biggest thing is the old fan would not spin the blades on the auxiliary fan i installed,now with this new hub the aux fan spins like crazy when sitting idling in the driveway.so i can tell its pulling a lot more air through the radiator at idle speed.

Made a quick simple fire extinguisher bracket from a scrap piece of metal that came with one of my ARB bull bar installs... I always save all my metal brackets/scrap piece of metals for occasions like this....

beginnings of wheel prep awaiting TMI weld on beadlocks....... unmount 5 tires, sandblast 5 wheels, paint one for spare, others getting beadlocks. has anyone had luck / experience with a Harbor Freight type (cheap) sandblasting set up? wheeling season!
next on my list.
Someone sometime ago posted about the HF blaster. IIRC it worked but was super messy and lost a lot of the material.
Projectile in an accident, that piece of plastic is not going to hold it!

What piece of plastic? Bracket attached to pillar from ARB is 1/4" steel and the fire extinguisher bracket itself is metal too..Then it is all bolted on to where 3rd row seat belt was attached. I don't waste my time on doing Mickey mouse fixes...Thanks for the concern though...
Hate to break it to ya, but the D pillar your metal pieces are bolted to is plastic. But whatever, it’s you or one of your family members who is going to get killed by the extinguisher.
And if your so smart, why did you put it way back there? If your pinned and there is a fire it ain’t no use to you back there!

Edit, just noticed you used the seatbelt attach! That’s plenty strong,
But you never mentioned in your original post you used the seatbelt attach point. Details details.....

Just wondering if you own an 80, because you have no clue what you are talking about... the bolt is not bolted to the plastic a pillar trim piece, there is a metal bracket that the 3rd row seat belt bolts onto... Before you start talking crap and saying I didn't put any thought into this, make sure you know what you are talking about...Hate to break it to ya, but the D pillar your metal pieces are bolted to is plastic. Great job chief, and I do know what I am talking about, I do structural repairs to aircraft and have done many fire extinguisher installs IAW drawings that are very detailed.
So ya, I do know what I am talking about. So tell me, what’s the G rating on the clamp that holds the extinguisher??
