What Did You Do with Your 80 This Weekend? (57 Viewers)

This weekend I went up to Big Bear Lake and did Gold Mountain Trail. I did this same trail in my 100 series last year and honestly I struggled in the 100 with some of the more technical sections that require the right line. Went up this time in the 3x locked 80 and needless to say it was much easier. If anyone has been on this trail they know there are a handful of tough sections and it makes for a great day.

No action shots, but my friend is the head of Marketing for Eibach so he's always working/taking photos.

@BGMachine Just curious if the chains and guide on these engine are required to be replaced at a certain mileage?
What red truck looking is that in front of the 80?
I changed mine when I did my head gasket was done because I noticed the bakealight price on the slipper was broke off and fell into the front of the motor oh the fun but I don’t have to do it until the next 247000.

Just finished up welding, grinding, painting and mounting my new 4x4 Labs rear bumper. Looking forward to testing it out at Southern Cruiser Crawl next month.

I don't know. I didn't see anything about it in my research but it doesn't mean I didn't overlook it.

That's my 67 Jeep M715. I've V10 swapping it and turning it into my primary exploration truck.

a V10 in that will rule. Such a sweet body design.

I just ordered the orange Shakey mirror thing. Thanks outsane, nice product.

I did brakes all around and started tearing into the doors to fix slow windows leaky weather striping and blown speakers. Oh yah and Noico sound deadening.

Ive got all OEM calipers inbound curious where you scored E brake rebuild from. Or did you order piece by piece?

Did Potts Mountain, super fun, I need sliders, and bigger tires lol

Fun trail! You could get away with doing one or the other I ran it with 37s and no sliders and walked over pretty much everything and i don't even have lockers

What's the orange thing do?
Found it. @Outsane's Shaky Mirror Fix Bracket. I'll be ordering some of these, nice work as usual @Outsane!

Yea well, you know, once you've started you can't exactly leave well enough alone in this sport

I didn’t get any parts for the ebrake. Probably should have. It wasn’t froze up so I left it and just added tension after setting the drums tight.

I got my parts from rock auto Centrix brand. They own Stop Tech so I felt like they were better than most aftermarkets.

Of course! I’m holding out on sliders until I start smashing up my rockers then I’ll do the rocker chop with sliders like Jose and others have done

Got snowed on Monday afternoon in the Sierra heading to Palisade Creek area....when storm passed by it made for a nice sunset overlooking the Royal Gorge...;)

Very cold night and morning, glad I brought my cold weather down bag.

Replaced the harmonic balancer tonight. I noticed it being a little wobbly and rubbing the front housing after I installed the rebuilt engine and transmission a few weeks ago. Close to 200 Miles on the new engine and everything is running perfect so far. Now I can start focusing on fun upgrades.

Installed new drag link and drag link ends (thanks @cruiseroutfit ). Steering wheel is pointed straight for the first time in over 5 years. Even got my wife to help (tell me when the steering wheel is straight) with no complaints, which is pretty amazing.

Then promptly backed over my furniture dolly--got it wedged in there pretty good between the tires

my mistake thought your rear drum parts where for ebrake, I need to rebuild e brake while doing booster caliper pads etc.
