Rear door lock actuator internal levers were broke. Replaced both actuators, and they are in good working condition. Put a new tail gate felease lever on(missing since purchase). Replaced front speakers. Now looking for a good video on antenna mast replacements.

Did you replace your actuators with OEM 80 series or aftermarket?

Finally got some trail time on the new setup. It was amazing.

I used Aisin actuators. I felt the design wasn’t super engineered enough to make me feel uncomfortable with aftermarket. They installed perfectly, without figment issues. Plug was identical to factory. They work perfect. Like tplane2 said, they were pretty cheap. Got mine from rock auto.

Letting the JBWeld dry on the fender flare I scored from the wrecking yard and about to put this antenna on.

See that small accumulation of fluid under that tiny heater hose? Is there an award for "most uneventful PHH failure"?

Noticed it fueling a few blocks from home. She stayed home while the rest of us went camping
Fueling?

My newtome drawer system!

When I bought my 80 back in 2008, it came with one of the what seems always unique dealer installed camping kits. Mine was pretty simplistic compared to some I've seen; just a raised steel frame (bolted to the body via the factory rear cargo tie down bolt holes) with two wooden cross beams (removable via large handled screws) and 4 padded boards just held in with velcro. It had also a little "sushi" table, a sink, and a single burner gas stove.

The new baby is home

It evolved very minimally over the years; I used just one side for sleeping after installed my fridge on the one side. I had a chaotic assortment of crap piled under the one board and my dads old wooden toolbox sitting in front of the fridge. It worked, sorta, but was an accident waiting to happen if I ever had any kind of incident.

I've been wanting a proper drawer system for years but have been reluctant to pull the plug due to costs, my sloppy building skills, and my own well established cycle of procrastination.
After missing out on a couple deals over the years, I was lucky enough to pick up the screaming deal of the year; a used Warfield drawer system generally donated by one of our own. It needs a little bit of cleaning up, just some minor mold stains on some of the wood, but otherwise damn near perfect!

Thanks again ikeed! Slightly modded drawer system from Warfield Off-Road

I will have to decide how to mount it. HDJ81's do not have 3rd row seat mounts for which this was designed for, and the PO I believe drilled new holes to suit. I'm not to keep on drilling new holes and might make up some plate and re-use the cargo mounts like my old system.
Anyways, pictures!

Out with the old stuff:

Probably the first time this thing has seen some mud, didn’t get it to dirty. And turned 171k miles today

Front knuckle job done today with boydmick. DS was birf soup and knew it. PS was ok but needing grease badly. Must check that more than I have...never. Last job was 2007 and 75k miles. Ran out of light so new brake pads will go in tomorrow morning.

Fixed the grammar... pumping gas. The 80s natural habitat.
So true. I actually keep track of all my gas. I probably shouldn’t. Lol

Pulled the rear wheels off again to install the parking brake shoes and new hardware. Still need to return the wrong shoes the dealer sold me.

I've been noticing a sort of knocking/grinding sound on cold start up. Vid sucks because it was still dark out but it's the sound that's important. Opinions? I ordered a new water pump because it's time and I think maybe it's the culprit but not sure. Haven't been about to use my mechanic's stethoscope yet.

New shocks for the daily driver...
