Went to Earls Ford (Warwoman) in Northern GA to work water crossings, then onto the GA Traverse Trail and Tray Mountain. Cold, wet, muddy, wonderful weekend.
Replaced the PHH this weekend, along with the radiator hoses and a complete coolant flush.
Just like everyone says, break the lower mounting tab of the pipe, it will save you a lot of time trying to get a wrench on that bolt.
I am mostly posting this to warn about the knock sensor. REMOVE THE KNOCK SENSOR before trying to remove the PHH. Unfortunately I did not read about removing it until after I put everything back together and taking it for a drive only to see the CEL. I didn't even realize I broke the sensor. Then, for some reason I couldn't figure out how to get the broken off portion of the sensor out of the connector, so I ended up cutting the wire. I attached a pic of the broken sensor, the plastic is very old and crumbles in your fingers.
I attempted to epoxy it all back together, I actually made it look pretty good but to no avail, now to source a new sensor
If anyone has inexpensive alternatives that work, I am all ears. I'm currently looking at this one on ebay that may or may not be OEM Genuine DENSO Japan Knock Sensor 89615-30050 for Toyota Land Cruiser Fzj80 | eBay

This looks awesome, any more details? Material? Time investment?
I know it! Still learning my way around posting photos. He’s the rig in my extra cramped work space, my field expedient window “fix”, the soggy carpet, the leaking AC drain, and my diy undercoat ( read oil leak). Thanks for the feedback!

Congratulations and WELCOME!
One note to prevent costly repairs:
Do NOT, for ANY reason, undo the screws on the wiring harness on the AFM unit next to the air cleaner on the intake tube under the hood. If you pull on that harness, you will wreck a $500 part. NLA. This is typical on the 91 thru 94 trucks. The 95+ is different.
I even tried crossed eye and still saw no image in this post.
I'll try upside down for the 4th time.
