Took her on a trip to the Buffalo river. Forgot to take poser shots on a gravel bar. Extracted one stuck vehicle from the gravel bar. Noticed the ac shut off and needle climbed on one hill climb (never happened before), so now I am waiting on a landtank fan clutch. Just finished giving her a bath.

De-flared and put a bumper on. Warn VR10000-s is going on this week.

Finished head gasket job. Still has a little bit of a rough idle though. Its intermittent so not sure what's up

Installed alpine CDE-W235BT and 4 6.5" Polk db651's, and a bunch of duramat. All thanks to this forum!

Buffed last weekend's custom pin stripes with Meguiars No. 9 swirl remover. Worked like a charm.

Oh, yeah, removed rear drive-shaft to debug my annoying deceleration buzz. Looks like my rear third needs to come out for a check some time in the near future. Odds are that it was never setup right in the first place, oh joy. Interesting driving around in front-wheel drive mode, though.

drove home from fishing trip with my newish 17 foot boat in tow... only to find I was pushing gear oil out the rear diff (front seal).

found the breather tube to be plugged and fixed that and drained and filled the diff (fingers crossed). Also ended up doing fluids in the transfer case and front diff and changed the oil.....

front diff was very murky.... :(

redid my preload its been about 500 miles since the front axel rebuild. the were pretty lose, they are tight now and it rides alot better.

new belts, oil change, timing set, and fixed the exhaust leaks at the downpipe/manifold gaskets and a few pinholes around the welded in replacement cat converter (exhaust work really blows...)

really runs quiet now, and a bit more pep from the timing and exhaust leak fixes

Replaced compressor condensor drier evaporator expansion valve Schrader valves o rings and rusty bolts (reason I ended needing new evaporator...broke pipe on evaporator trying to get them off :-( ) that connect evaporator to expansion valve. Also flushed all the hard lines with some flush I bought from advance auto parts...stuff works really well and was relatively cheap. Going to have a fellow mudder hopefully test and recharge the system tomorrow. This Texas heat is brutal! Front end rebuild is next on the list.

Last week the family took the first real trip in the cruiser. Went from Iowa to Wyoming to northern wyoming then back across south Dakota. 2190 miles. Busted a u joint. Had to recharge the ac about 5 times

Replaced AC liquid line ( sucked ), expansion valve, all o-rings, compressor top seal, drier, refilled with pag46 and took it to a shop to have it charged. Oh and removed the front bumper to get at the drier, since the PO smashed the bumper in. Now I need a new bumper.

Drove down to beautiful and scenic Noonan, North Dakota on Friday to pick up some junk. Then, I installed the lift and rolled up the 34's to see what it will look like. Mounting will probably have to wait until Tuesday as pretty much everything here is closed for the next two days because of Canada Day.

Gave the ashtray a new lease on life as a nav mount. A single DIN headunit holds it in place pretty snug on top, and the power cord can be stuffed out of sight into the recess of the ashtray. Looks clean; better in my opinion than suction cupped to the windshield or sitting on one of those mousepad thingies on the dash.
Yes, these are the kinds of things I spend my time on...
