Damn, I had been looking at a few of those and didn't even notice. I wondered why they were so long

That long? That is a piece that fits into an existing 2" receiver and allows one to bolt a pintle hitch to those 6 holes in the plate.

Did some mild wheelin here in Oregon.

Listened to my power steering make noise again. It stopped for a couple months after flushing the fluid but now it whines when it gets hot. I might try a cooler or some good hydraulic oil. Had a great trip though. It's a rocky, washed out trail all the way up to this spot. Easy but fun to do.

Opened up a beer with it.

Oh, checked compression and cleaned and checked spark plug gaps. Checked for vacuum leaks. Had a loose spark plug, fixed my intermittent rough idle.

Did some scouting in the Mogollon Rim, light 4x4ing.

Can someone tell me if the paw print is a dog (coyote)? It was small, about 2.5 inches long. I'm always curious about paw prints. It's easy to disseminate elk, deer, cow but I never know with paw. Please let me know what you think?

I was told that type of print was from the Mogollon Monster back in my Boy Scout days near Payson.;)

Made a pit stop at LC Mecca on the way to LegoLand.

Specter Off Road.

My wife fell in love with an Iron Pig, (never would have seen that coming). And the kids loved the LC fire engines and a 60 shell.

Worth the detour!!

I was surprised, too, by my wife's visceral reaction to the "pig". She thinks it's the cutest thing she'd ever seen.

Yes. There's quite a bit of them. This is where that particular "road" ends ant the top of a small hill. The Pine Nut Mountains have a number of "roads" that don't go anywhere. Sometimes they're polite and let you know after a few hundred yards. Other times they lead you on for a good distance and then end abruptly, forcing you back out the way you came in.
