Nice 60 you have!

^^ Interesting pick-up that.
Is it a station wagon that was made a pick-up?
All the 70 series pick-ups I know is leaf sprung at the back. Including the new single and double cab V8 models.
This one in that picture look to have a coil sprung setup at the back?
The back of the cab, at the bottom, also looks a bit "not standard pick-up".

Thank you! The 79 series was at Slee Offroad in Golden, CO. If I'm not mistaken is is a LHD 79 series cab and bed, 80 series frame and 100 series drivetrain. Definitely a sweet rig to see in person since they are so rare here in the states.

PICS UPDATE
Few weekends ago i took a hood to the local PC guy I have used many times..

I asked for a blue color with a mate matte finish to cut on glare....
The other option was line x, but at $600 for a color match i said hell no..!!!

Was told it might come out with some blemishes and not sure it might like it...

I picked it up yesterday, and I like what they did....

Thanks at @orangefj45 for the free hood..!!

I'll be going on the rig tomorrow...!!

Looked at her and cried a little bit inside. Went out yesterday and started marking vacuum lines and what not to be disassembled so I can begin the process of pulling the carb for a rebuild and the head removal for HG replacement.
Any tips on marking vacuum/fuel lines for carb removal? I'm pulling mine this weekend.

Go to an electrical supply store and get a book of wire stickers. They usually have several pages of stick on numbers and letters.

That book of stickers is exactly what I used when I did my head gasket. Numbers are still on there today.

Same for me..they were a life saver and I've still got a bunch on mine. I've had a hard time finding them locally lately though.

Whats your lift/ tire combo?

OME heavy on LT305/70 R16 (33"h x ~12"w) BFG Mud-Terrain T/A KM2s. Method wheels. The PO spec'd everything. The heavy lift is overkill for me. I'm not carrying much extra weight. Ride is somewhat harsh, esp with MT tires.

Love that blue

This is Breitz6989's picture. Fixing to put my snorkle on. Got the same one he used. Question, is the small hole in the template closest to the front of the fender the one used to mark the cut out for the large 3.5" hole?

had oem Toyota windshield installed with new rubbers all around...was leaking at corners and onto floorboards inside so this was first step in fixing problem (I hope) and also getting a new factory windshield before they are no longer available and have to go aftermarket. :)

How was the metal on the pillar? much rust or rot? I'm experiencing the same....
trying to wait until painting the truck to do that so it can be pulled at the same time.

I did not see it to be honest.....in SC we have rule that if window is not able to be repaired from damage then it is replaced. I had a crack in it that got larger so told them I wanted OEM windshield instead of aftermarket. They asked why so told them classic vehicle in original shape mostly and wanted to maintain value. THey subcontracted it to GlassPro as SafeLite and Toyota Dealer would not do it...hahahaha. Guy at Glasspro ordered all the rubbers for it...and asked to see condition of A-Pillar before he accepted work. Said he wanted to do it there at shop in case he had to do any sanding on frame. There was nothing written up as special and they said it did not have any issues. So dont really know... I am going to try and talk to him later in week to get his input on condition of window frame....as I want to paint vehicle and if that is in good shape and was sanded and primed already might leave it alone. :) BTW, my aunt who bought the first land cruiser I owned brand new in Littleton CO...lives in Durango. :) Glenda Toll (Herman)
