Successful day so far. Checking runout on the engine to transmission adapter plate, replacing some coolant o-rings and resealing the injection pump, among other things.

AirheadNut, your tire mounted step is ingenious. Any ammendments you'd make to the design?
I can’t take credit for that, it was given to me a number of years back. I’ve found it very useful, can be adjusted to fit a large range of tire sizes.

Picked up a windshield for it yesterday. Install will have to wait until next spring/summer when the weather is better as I've got some rust to deal with around the frame that will take a few days/week to fix and I don't have a spot inside to work on it.

When you remove the glass, recommend you cut the gasket out from both sides. I used dry lube and the help of a friend to get mine in when I installed mine. It is a VERY tight squeeze. I used one of the windshield gasket rope tools from amazon too.

Yeah...twice. Sold the second one that I mistakenly purchased to theglobb already though.

Doing a full knuckle rebuild and this is what I scraped off of one of the knuckles. It looks like the PO may have never cleaned this off... that red dirt is from his trips to Africa from France, caked on under years of built up dirt and grease.

What’s the difference? Ratios the same?

Old is not available anymore so that’s the main difference!

New has bigger valve inside and larger sector shaft.

Cheers

How much work is this to retrofit?
