Two clamps on each door, 6 total.

But weight being distributed to the top of the roof with the adjustable pads.....

I'm not sure how much to trust FRP rails for load bearing.

I give you all credit for creativity and tenacity, combined with mad fab skills......but I gotta follow in Dan's footsteps.

Looking forward to seeing how it turns out in use.

Cheers.

We'll see.

I have seen quite a few versions of this rack without the distribution feet and only one mount per front door. Peppering the entire roof with standoffs and mounts greatly reduces the overall psi intake of the FRP components when loaded and unloaded alike.

Agreed, much better to idea to divide and conquer the weight with the additional pads.

Finally had some time to work on my E-locker project in Jenny. Worked up a plug/play harness, turned out quite nice and will keep things sano behind the dash.

It turned out really clean and everything works as planned. I was able to test my harness with new AISIN actuators on the workbench before installing it on the truck which offered a piece of mind my wiring checked out and that the ECU was good.

Save that file. That gasket is discontinued.

When I find the right gasket material, I'd be happy to make some for folks that need 'em.

I'd buy a handful. I have some NOS gaskets if you need a control model :D

Jenny got a new PS reservoir hose, a fluid top off and a new grab handle over the drivers side. I'm thinking of rocking it down to Moab this next weekend for the EJS madness.

Oh, and I need a new jerry can carrier strut for my Kaymar. I have no clue how or when it died but it's nuked.

Slight rant about companies that setup in the U.S. and later pull out. Spares are not exactly easy to find and while it's certainly not mission critical, I don't want air freight one from AUS so I'll likely just ship it to a vendor sending me a pallet. 6-8 weeks. I'm going to get their LED telescoping light while I've got parts coming.

Fun to see some good activity on this thread. We just got done building a cabinetry system for the back of a Troopy, and since I had my truck in the shop to get some templates and dimensions I finally started on the starboard panels for the rear doors. The RH side will have a simple drop down table made of baltic birch ply.

Here is the inspiration photo:

And here we are using the template to cut and drill the Starboard panel:

And here is the piece of BB ply passing the waterproof test!

Here is the finished product:

King starboard 1/4" panel, 18mm baltic birch ply with a few coats of spar varnish. 6mm riv nuts and metric stainless black oxide hardware.
Rare earth magnets flushed into the table that catch on the panel mounting hardware.
