Replaced the starter:

How long did it take you to do the starter?
Any hiccups or was it just a bunch of work but straight forward?
I don’t know…
I started on Friday after work, then I pulled the intake Saturday, but then I wasn’t feeling well, so then I finished the work on Sunday.

I took a while, I like to clean parts and take pictures and do those “while I’m in there” projects…

Good deal. You should be set now for a good, long while.

Three things on a 100 series I don't want to have to worry about.

1. Alternator.
2. Starter.
3. A/C compressor.

None of them are much fun to get to. The first two can leave you stranded...the last one can make things pretty miserable.

Well now I have replaced the alternator, starter, steering rack, and now getting ready to do the timing belt.
I am getting to know this truck pretty well - I have spent time on the AHC system and spent time replacing the stereo head unit and adding a back-up camera (very handy for pulling a camper).
I am studying up here for the timing belt job: Timing Belt for Dummies writeup - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/timing-belt-for-dummies-writeup.431177/

You'll do fine with it. There really aren't that many 'gotcha things' to remember or worry about. The steering rack is probably a harder job and you've done that. To read about it.....it sounds daunting but in practice, as long as you get all your belt witness marks lined up with the crank pulley and cam pulleys, you're good to go.

Hey Pablo, I'm local to you I think and have done a few 2uz tbelts. Pm me if you want someone to swing by and take a look with you.

I'm going to be doing mine this winter along with a refresh on all of the extra items while I'm doing it.

The sway bar link bushings looked a little crusty when I was rotating the tires, but it looks like you need to order all the bushings separately from Toyota...
I gathered up all the parts to do front and rear sway bar links.
I didn't see any good threads that spelled out the Toyota p/n's for doing this job.
I think I will start a separate thread so folks can find it easier than if it were buried in here.
