Bought a Fusion today. I can mash the pedal on the right and actually go somewhere. Nothing rattles. And I'll get about 30mpg without treating it like a baby. WTH am I gonna do with this? I feel so weird...

Yeah and as light as it is it will go better than a loaded up rover till it high centers or needs more than one wheel pulling. I use to have a dune buggy when I lived in the mtns of tennessee and sometimes would take it wheeling with the 4x4's it is a wonder what a light chassis with the right foot down can get across and over, but carnage was often the end result , and a long tow home. :)

Ford Fusion rally car?

Trollhole you should get one of those metal awnings put up. Build a small wall to build up the height then install a lift. Of course it is easy when I am spending other peoples money.

Lol. Friend of my wifes. Their car was at an autozone. No way to get it back to the shop except have it towed for 90 dollars.

Took an hr in the rain to fix it. I was soaked by the time it was done. Employees at Auto Zone stood around under the front smoking cigarettes. They were pretty amazed.

Had to be in Simpsonville. I had to break my rule of not going there one Sunday and was amazed to find what looked like all the employees out front smoking

That is awesome!

I've been chatting with Sam over at Lowe about all the R & D they will likely do after this Tundra completes its big tow and he said they did a test when they were first coming out where they gave one to a cattle ranch in Texas. The guy was towing like 15,000 lbs with it on the regular. They brought the truck in and the dash looked like a Christmas tree. They took the whole truck apart and the engineers analyzed every little piece. I’m sure that’s what they will do with this.

I still can't fathom a street truck pulling over a 1/4 million pounds. I wonder if it will get help "off the line", or if the tow dollies are somehow powered too. From a dead stop to any forward movement has got to be the most stressful part on the drive train.

If anyone is interested in a new Toyota, Jim Barkley in Asheville is offering 1k above good KBB, all it has to have is under 100k and a clean carfax. We took Stacie's 4runner over yesterday (which she had messed up the rear bumper by backing over a prius) and they gave us like 13k on a 2012 Camry for her. It seems like a good car, and Toyota has made them as sporty as you can make the old family sedan. Plus it came with the Toyotacare, and they are now doing 10k oil changes. Any ways, we thought it was a good deal so if anyone wants that new 200 series (j/k) or 4runner, or Taco... They got 'em
