Found a 74 fj55 with no motor. It is rust free and has only a few dings in the rear. Seats and interior are in poor condition. The guy want $750. What do you think?

Tell him to sell it here

If I were still in states, I would sure as hell buy it! Engines are easy

buffs right out

I would think it was deal, it worth at least that much in parts, frame, axles, glass if you were to part it out. Is the tranny and TC still in it?

I agree, well worth the price just in parts alone however, that would make a great resto project

Save it. Interior and engine are easy to fix. A rust free 55 is hard to find.

Would be the perfect project for someone if you pass on it. I put some miles on a friends pig last weekend, and it doesn't take much to get hooked. :) If it wasn't 20 hrs away from me..... :hhmm: but then what's 40hrs on the highway for a rust free pig, right?

Get it and love it

Thanks for all the responses.

It does have a trans and case, the block is there with all parts, but has a hole in the cylinder wall. All glass is intact. He will include an adapter for a 350 to h41 as well.

Showed it to the woman last night and immediately answered about 50 questions I dont have the answer to yet..."where are you going to keep it!?" etc...

If I pull the trigger I will definitely summon the help of all of you, new to the fj55 world!

Thanks!

That is a good looking Pig and '74 is a good year for Pigs. You'd want buckets in the front anyway...
