Deep clean for the Warthog 4.4 after a flawless 1200 mile trip to and from the Southern Swine Soirée in Arkansas.

The Mosley Motors 4.4 2F is still impressing me on every trip.

I averaged 12.6 mpg to include almost 300 off road miles and best of all, I did not turn a wrench or add any fluids.

The OME has probably settled in finally with about a 45* shackle angle making it ride better each trip.

I am collecting parts to do a steering upgrade and am going to replace the body mounts. Other than that this pile keeps impressing.

This thing still runs like a scalded hog with the Cop Motor but stopping it is not as good as my other Cruisers ...... but that can be fixed

I also needed to make this omission correct from the original build and get some @lcwizard 4Plus flip kits installed.

This disc kit is top shelf. I used it on my FJ45 and cant say enough how nice it is.

Are there details of your disk brake conversion in your build?

Are there details of your disk brake conversion in your build?

A little more but there is not a lot of details needed.
The kit is a complete kit. Everything you need including all new stainless lines for the axle.

Super simple to install. In this one I cut my backing plates off so I would not have to pull the C clip out of the ARB. Easy install.

The Warthog got new Dobinsons IMS shocks and a Redhead 60 box steering conversion this weekend. Details on how it’s all done are in my build thread in the 55 section if interested.

@wngrog you use the 40 u-bolt flip kits for the piggies?

FJ60 PS dialed in with a drop arm (Fj60), Dobinsons IMS shocks feeling great, fresh powder on the bumpers and grill. 86’ed the swing out tire carrier and gave it all a fresh coat of rattle can.

Back to getting it dirty again soon......

I had my stock 78 40 on the interstate running 66mph this weekend. Maybe I am chickens#@t however I can say unequivocally that I never want to do 84 in it.
The turf & turf looks great.

Proper

Who here needs some of this in their life?

Great looking truck man, good luck with the sale!

How many 55s let alone 2fs have been on a dyno? I have to think this is one of just a handful and the 2fs that have been were probably built by the same shop who built this one.

Really shows potential buyers how buttoned up this drive train is. You know what your getting with this project compared to a South American restoration that’s a roll of the dice. I remember trying to get under hood pictures of a nice cruiser and the owner acting like that was a hassle. You have shared everything that can be about this vehicle which inexperienced buyers might not get is rare.

I look forward to your next project and hope this one goes to a home where it’s used and shared with us here in the future. Heck maybe I’ll convince the Mrs to make a go at getting it.

Seeing that driving video reminded me of the Lsu coach a few years back. Real potential Buyers should already know there’s no carpet or surfaces to keep smell in these old treasures.
