Don't stop there buy the pigge all new weather stripping...:bounce::rofl:

I think it’s all new or good once I get this in place.

Everything but the headliner because that’s way too hard. I tried.

Anyone know where a man can find some rear/tailgate window rubber for his '78 Pork?

slocruisers has it...$315, yikes...guess there aren't many options though!

Yes. He’s the only person. It’s a great product. I have it on mine.

The Pig I sold earlier this year had edge trim around it. It did the job.

Where I had the problem is the rear doors at the curve for the wheel well. The glue wouldn't hold there when I closed the doors. Works now, just a pain getting there.

Awesome pig. I pulled the trigger on the SloCruiser rubber. It said only 3 left on the site...which did what it was supposed to do, and made me buy. You just never know with parts like these

I chatted with him over email about his inventory and capacities.

He basically said he’s a small shop with limited inventory and he’s getting more each day.

His customer service has been outstanding for me.

I bought hoses from him a year or so ago. The bags for my 60 and now the weatherstrip.

I know this. As with any small business more sales and demand make it worthwhile for small batch stuff like this.

@Midgainc machined my front door hinges.

This thing is going to be sealed up like a coffin with these and the @SLOCRUISER weatherstrips

I’m diving in now

Curious, did you cut it at the bottom?

I looked at keeping it whole but that would have been impossible. That’s surely what the brass plate at the bottom is for @scrapdaddy

when I used fj60 door seals on my pig, I had to cut the bottom and marry it together with the plate...does the fj55 door seal also have to be cut to install?

Well I did on the first two to be super anal to make the seal lay just right on the bottom and used the brass plate to join the cut area.

The last two I did I didn’t. The seal is not oriented correctly on the bottom
Section but it seals up solid

So. Either or.

Passenger side door down.

I tried taking a little off the latch so I did not have to trim my weatherstrip but I ended up trimming it. No reason to stress it every time I shut the door

Diving into the driver side is letting me fix my bent hood latch handle from when I had the non vented hood on and it locked up.

Also found a nasty rusty seam under the kick panel that has to be addressed before I hang the door

I’ve been gone a couple of weeks but the Warthog fired right up when I tried.

I moved it to the shop to do a Bushing replacement and OME shackle install.

Simple enough, right?

Well, it turns out the bushings I bought that were for FJ55s had the large shackle pin hole but the bushings were too large (FJ60 I’m guessing)

The ones I removed were horrible so I pressed on with these.

Then I went to install the aftermarket shackles and they did not want to go into the bushings.

Total s*** show.

I’m back together on that one corner with WAY too much time invested and the stock shackles. (Which are fine)

So, who sells the correct rubber bushings?

I’m heading for this pain...so watching & hopefully learn’
