Sheesh, well that doesn't help!!!!

When I bought the truck not a single gauge operated correctly. You never think you have to replace both the sending unit and the gauge but in my case I did. I think the temp sender was the only one I didn’t check for an actual reading but replaced it because it just looked crummy. Here I was installing the two final gauges I sourced from Yemen and from Thailand. These are the old ones.
Oil pressure gauge came out a few weeks ago and sourced the NOS unit off eBay and it was in my local area.

I have been fighting the stamped steel valve cover leaking on me for a bit. I replaced the orignal vc with a really nice one and put in a Spector cork gasket and it still leaked. @ToyotaMatt gifted me a NOS engine gasket kit for the F155 with a older style cork gasket and I bent the inner seal channel down a little all the way around and put the whole vc in the press and took the slight bow out of it from previously being over tightened. We will see how it goes…

How did things go with the centering tool?
I put it back the way it was and added one .020 shim on both sides because of tightness. Also I used the Marlins seals. I couldn’t see it being that much of a difference and with the amount of wear the inner seal will get with the amount I’ll drive this in 4wd I passed on the whole scenario.

Understood!
I am envisioning putting 60 knuckles on the front of the Pig at some point, so I have no starting point to just re-assemble. I will be doing the fun centering exercise...
