I'm not too far from Drake's Landing but you better go before they decide to pull their Agro-tourism classification and shut them down. They've had issues with homeowners in the area and stray shots...

That's been going on quite awhile... Is it still being threatened?

Deep River is an awesome place. Ever go to Drake's Landing in Fuquay Johnny?

No I haven't, but I've heard good things. We'll get out there one of these weekends :D

I've got some toys. Hit me up when it's time to go again, which should be *soon* ! :)

How difficult is it re-holstering? Seems like it would be tough aligning the barrel and the plug while inside your pants.

You can't reholster while wearing it. The upside is that the belt clip has a little lip on the bottom edge to help pull the the hook of it away from your belt. The holster and pistol can be removed as one unit by using your draw grip and pulling out on the lip with your trigger finger - the half-round section of the holster is a trigger guard - so it's quite natural (like a SERPA). Very easy on and off but still very secure. I watched the video on their website and was hesitant until I tried it.

so ..I have a lead on a very nice Anschutz match 54, made in 1970 with the thumbhole stock all the attachments (no adjustable cheek) but adjustable LOP and hook, with the international set trigger and the peeps with the adjustable diopter.....dare I spend 1650$ for her....I know I am getting older and probably still suck, but man I miss it...anyone else here a hardcore sharpshooter?

Can't believe you are even asking .....

yeah, I was wrong..any other paper perforators here?

I shot competitively in high school on the rifle team (small bore, NRA 4 position matches) and have shot IDPA matches and DCM matches off and on. Aging eyes make iron sights and shooting at any distance interesting.

I am doing my homework, the owner believes its a supermatch, I wish it was but cant find anything to verify it. not a supermatch marked barrel, not a 1413, not the obvious tapered supermatch action. but still a gem. but at 1650?

I honestly do not know pricing on these things. I do know that on the surface it sounds decent to me if the condition is really good. I am finding that pricing is going a little wonky on certain items - just look at pre-Remington Marlin lever actions, especially the Cowboy Limited models .... Or post-war Winchester 71's ... Wish I had not sold mine now.

The Match 54s are nice, I got to shoot one in .22 Win Mag, nice rifles but damn they are 'spensive. I have a really nice Kimber Govt Model 82, less expensive 22 shooter. I have irons on it, but have been thinking about adding a old school Unertl tube scope. ;)

The ONSC gun thread needed a bump. I'm sure there are a couple new toys acquired in the past couple months. Let's see them.

This still cracks me up ....

And thanks a lot Alex. Didn't know I could lust over their long guns too.
A .22 is on the list to be able to afford it but like mentioned. Gotta find it first.

The Anschutz rifles are nice, but it is hard to justify the money for a single shot .22. Look around for one of the Kimber 82s or a Remington 40x, you can probably pick one up in decent shape for $600-700 and are pretty nice:meh: If I get up for one of the work weekends and the range is open, I'll bring the Kimber up with me. added a few upgrades to the Glock 19 this week. New ProGlo front sight, and ICE claw blacked out rear sight. I really like the look, and wider rear sight. There is much easier target acquisition and it is a very quick to target sight combo. Also, am waiting on a glocktriggers.com skimmer trigger. This is basically a stock trigger that is polished(no grainyness) and takes the 1/4-1/2 inches of slack out of the glock trigger. The "wall" is there as soon as you start to depress the trigger, similar, but not perfect, to the 1911.

i am pretty sure Eriq the Rhymer is jealous.
