Hmmm ... I'll look at the old NRA pub I have for potential starting points for reloads. The Garand is sensitive to the type of powder used. I have seen bent op rods from the "wrong stuff" ...

ok, it is official. My G19 will not eject a the 10th hollow point out of the mag. This was confirmed with Hornaday as well as the previous today. I assume this is a 10 round mag thing. Is there anything to do other than put FMJ as the last round?

That or consider polishing the feed ramp like a few other mentioned. I have no clue how to do it though. Damn DC mags

anyone have an instruction guide on how to polish?

The mag spring could be worn out. This is not a common problem with these mags unless the spring is done. My vote is the spring needs to be replaced.

I wish this were it, but the mags are brand new. Or are they clipmags :)

Here's a stupid question: It won't eject the 10th round after firing, or after racking the slide 10 times? I actually spoke with a guy once who didn't understand that you could drop a full mag via the release button instead of 'emptying' it that way.

Wait a minute.... So you solved your original problem of not chambering the 10th round?

it does it in both situations. The only way to solve it so far is just to have a FMJ as the 10th round.

I am a bit confused (happens easily), Are you saying that the 10th (last) round will not feed and chamber from the mag .... or that the 10th round will not eject from the pistol after you fire the 10th round or rack the slide? :hhmm:

If the former, I would still put money on a weak mag spring or the need for a polish job on the feed ramp. I never had any issues with my old G19 with the 10 round mags during the hi-cap ban period ... unless the spring was weak or the mag was dirty and the follower was getting cocked in the mag.

If the latter .... weird .... I have no idea.

it will either half be hanging out of the mag, or be partially in the chamber. This depends on the brand of hollow point. Maybe i will call Glock about some replacement springs even though they are brand new. It may be important to note that is does it with both mags

just polished the slide with the Dremel. The problem is still there. AHHHHHH. Could i just by chance have 2 faulty mags?

nothing hard core. just hitting it with the felt of the dremel, not removing metal. there arent any machine marks on the glock feed ramp anyway. Just making sure it was as smooth and clean as possible.

I do not know if wolff springs makes mag springs for a G19, but if they do, they would be a good bet.

Just checking, all fun and games until the slide flies off and hits you in the face:grinpimp:

My take, start with troubleshooting with the mags. Do any of your local ranges do rental guns? See if one has another G19 and see if your mags do the same thing in a different gun, and vice versa, run your mags through a different pistol. At least that way you can eliminate the mags as a trouble spot. If it is the mags, then maybe Block may warranty them as it is a new pistol/mags:meh:

If the mags are good, then either see if Block will check out the gun, or see if there is a good local gunsmith that can take a look. Hopefully the manufacturer will stand behind their gub and make it right if it is a bad mag or gub.
