Just heard another NY story on the radio.driving to the airport. Buffalo area man was told by NY State Police to surrend his 7 handguns and CC license. I was in and out getting gas, but I think that his name triggered something with the new mental health provision in their "SafeAct." Apparently he had been given a prescription at some point for an antidepressant? But not currently I think. No other issues, no crimes, nothin. He was told if he didn't surrender them, the SP were coming to get them. Turns out they made a big boo-boo. They returned everything and he has lawyered up big time.
I expect more and more people from these nanny-police states to start moving to places like VA, NC, TX, etc soon. This is beyond out of control.

Thank you for the recent links to amazing articles from NY. Now I will be angry and ready to fight all night. I have no idea how anyone with half a brain would continue to live inside NY state lines. See also MD, CA, etc.

I am glad that I live in SC. I am amazed at what people will tolerate from their own elected officials. The Anti Gun folks are having a hard time getting anyone on the federal level to commit to the cool aid so I think we will see them try to do it state by state.

I just moved from MD a little less than two yrs ago. Best thing I've ever done. My buddy that owns a body shop in Baltimore nearly has an aneurysm every time we talk. He vents to me about the tax and antigun insanity. Hopefully he'll move over the border to PA soon. Or south :)
These stories from NY will be repeated in MD soon enough...

This is what I am quite concerned about. 50 differing highly restrictive state regs and umpteen bazillion local regs. Yes, we already have this to some extent, but I am concerned about it getting much, much worse.

For example, if you read the details of the Colorado hi-cap law, it appears that if one travels into CO after July 1 with a magazine that is either hi-cap or can be modified (i.e. has a removable floorplate), you are illegal - regardless of when you purchased the magazine since the grandfathering only applies to CO residents on the effective date (July 1). This would include most quality 7 / 8 round 1911 mags with removable floorplates.

Absolutely a concern of mine. Especially with my Dad living in CO. I'm buying up every 30rd PMAG I find to get to him and my two Uncles before July 1st so if anyone sees any let me know. Or better yet buy them and I will pay you back. He will be visiting me in late June so consider it an open order until then. Number below for fast responses:

I will say I got really mad today when I couldn't even find a couple boxes of 20 gauge shells to shoot some clays!! This is madness!

There it is, found a link to it. Basically had it right: NEW YORK PERMIT FIGHT:Gun Owner Wins Back Wrongly Revoked License, http://fxn.ws/10OUXkB - Sent via the FOX News Android App.

Seeing this, one can expect anti-depressant medications to go "black market", who wants to be on a hit list for taking such meds. And, remember that if you ever took some of the popular stop-smoking medications = anti-depressants...:hhmm:

also, some mild anti depressants are used to treat mild ADD.

Makes me wonder about all the kids being prescribed all kinds of crap in today's world. Can't see it working out well for the future - on many fronts.

This bothers me every day. The money pushes the drugs through the agencies meant to protect us and then when it is plausible that some of these incidents occur due to the drugs the money pushes them out of the lime light and throws firearms up as a scape goat...I am completely against medicating children 99.9% of the time.

In other news the M1 Garand I ordered from the CMP should ship this week. I ordered it in January! Can't buy 22LR or an M1 Garand? The world is in a tail spin.

Good thing there is never any fear buying of 30-06...because a man with a 30-06 has nothing to fear. :D

A good friend of ours is a nurse and she works at a practice that treats mostly kids. Some of the stories she tells us about some of the kids is down right scary. She has told us that more than 50% of them take perscription medication on a regular basis.

Some of the behavior she has told us about makes me wonder about the future. These kids are simply not prepared for real life. Life is tough and if you are not on your game it is easy to slide. These kids get a do over for everything and if they are figity (is that a word) they just give them a pill to calm them down.

I see a whole lot of "kids" living with their parents in the future.

Oh heck ... seeing this reminded me I was supposed to see what I have in the way of en bloc clips for that sucker for you. Will make a not e to do that this weekend.

Love it! And have two :). Just wish ammo wasn't so expensive!

Tried to buy some 22 ammo at a Gander Mountain store near my inlaws in Pa this weekend. Clerk kinda laughed when I asked where it was in the store :(. Guess I gotta go easy on what I have until this madness blows over a bit.

I shoot my .308 now at the range because I can reload it. The Ruger 10-22 stays in the safe because I can't replinish what I shoot :-( I also have a Springfield 1903 so this will bring me up to two 30-06 rifles. Glad you like the saying :-)

Hopefully everyone with a brain moves out of these communist states. I hope they vote with their feet and wallets. I will not spend any money in these states or buy from businesses that reside in these states. One case is Remington who just sold out to the gov for a huge contract and will now stay in NY after saying they were looking to move because of the new gun laws.

Remington is part of the Freedom group who also owns Bushmaster® Firearms, DPMS/Panther Arms™, Marlin®, H&R®, The Parker Gun™, Mountain Khakis®, Advanced Armament Corp. ®, Dakota Arms®, Para™ USA and Barnes® Bullets.

I will not buy anything from these companies. It's time we vote with our money and show these states and companies we will not stand for the fleecing of our liberty and freedom.
