Eric,

thanks buddy. yea the slide turned out really well. That was only one coat. the mags had 2. The stamping was very clean with really nice edges. Very simple DYI. Thoughts on changing color? Thinking about Carolina blue, or UGA Red. will probably just stay with white though.

Personally I've always liked the white but I have thought about doing her Glock logo in pink. And we have got to get you some 15 round mags. lol

arent those 10 round DC mags sexy. Get ready. All of you may have them soon too :(

Finally found a sight for my Ruger. Little NcStar red dot. Nothing fancy but it fits well and didn't hurt the wallet.

Also went to Walmart Sunday night and hit the lotto. They actually had 22 ammo on the shelf for the first time in months. .

very nice. was the price gouged on the 22 lr?

$21 per 500 round box. not gouged at all. They do have a 3 box limit. Thankfully, I had a Mom in the truck that didn't mind going in and paying cash. ;)

i send megan in all the time after me up here. most places have a one box limit per person.

Testing the waters
I'm thinking about making a small dent in the closet. Anybody have any interesting trades? 40 & 80 stuff, bang-stick stuff, guitar stuff...?

All I know is this: It isn't a top flight piece. Never installed or used. Has original box, all hardware, packaging and unopened warranty/instructions with a date of 10/01/11. Lifetime warranty.

ATN Professional Series Illuminated Reticle Riflescope/Black Lion Optics 8-24x75LU. Includes rings and cams for 22-250, 308, 30-06, 243 Win, 7mmMag, 300 Win Mag and 50 BMG.

Whatchya got? Lighter used for size reference only, I'd really hate to part with it .

Carolina Sporting Arma has a Pre-64 Winchester 70 in .270 for 1400$. Seems steep but I wanted to hear your thoughts here. At least it won't go down in value when I walk out the door unlike a new one which is going to cost me 1100$ anyway...Thoughts?

When it comes to pre-64 70's, a lot of the value depends upon grade, condition, and relative scarcity. The .270 was relatively ubiquitous, so it does not have any scarcity value. At this point condition, age, and grade (field, custom, safari, etc.) come into play.

I've been out of this market for some time (5+ years), but when I was in it, that price would have been for a standard grade one in great condition or a safari grade .270 in typical condition. I'd have to see the particular rifle to judge it.

I'd look at Cabela's Gun Library online to see what current retail is for various items. I know a few of their guys and they are very detailed and accurate with descriptions.

I'm going to be selling a stoeger 12g camo synthetic shotgun. Perfect duck gun comes with all chokes. Gun has been shot less then 50 times. Asking $325 obo to anyone but Al.
