wish me luck. i think i found the only g19 within 300 miles. one of the 15 shops i have been calling got one yesterday. It was on hold, but the guy never showed. thus, i called two minutes before closing, and now it is on hold for me tomorrow. I hope i am not jinxing myslef. But i may have one tomorrow.?!?!?!?!

victory is mine. My unicorn hunt is over. Bout a gen 4 glock 19 this morning. Too bad i dont get it for another 10 days or so, but at least its mine!!

Congrats! When I bought my Gen 4 G17, I almost went with a G19, but they only had a Gen 3 at the store I was at and I couldn't turn down their price on the 17.

Enjoy it! It's a great gun, in my opinion.

thanks man. I am super excited. It is actually going to be Megan's. So some parts will probably turn pink. But in a month when i can buy another, i am going with the 23 for myself, maybe a 22. Still deliberating.

If you get a 22 or 23 go ahead and by the lone wolf conversion barrel to, it's about $130 or so. It will let you shoot 9mm out of the 22 or 23. Since you already have the 19 mags you are that much more better. It'll give you more ammo choice since availability now is scarce.

thats a great idea. is the only thing you need to change is the barrel? Seems pretty simple and awesome.

You can drop the barrel of a 34 into a 35 or 17 into 22, 19 into 23, etc.

Technically, the extractor and ejector are different for 9 and .40 but they "work". I wouldn't use it like that in a "real" situation but playing at the range, it "works". I use the OEM barrels to switch things around and it really doesn't take long to swap extractors, the ejector is part of the trigger housing and not worth swapping the whole trigger if you are just plinking.

If one really wants to save, get the drop in .22 conversion barrel, that is worth the money if you want to plink all-day with cheap .22 rounds...

very interesting. will the 22 lr eject without any significant modification.

Held a Sig 226 today. AAAAAA....Wait for it....mazing. Definitely getting one soon. I was actually looking to pick up the SIG mosquito for the wife. Anyone ever shot one of these? Or either of them?
It was a great day at the range today with the wife. She is getting good with the Benelli shotgun. We are still working on pistol and rifle skills.
Thanks!

I've got a Sig P6 (German Police issue P225), single stack 9mm that is almost identical in size to a P226 - slightly smaller all around. I love it. Always wanted a Sig and am so happy I got it. I'd love one in every caliber if they all feel the same in my hand. No knowledge on the Mosquito. There are a few Sig owners here...

We'll have to talk about a trip to the rifle range one day.

I have that same gun Adam. Like it just fine. It's a good carry.
Turns out one of the guys I work with has a mosquito and he highly recommended it. So I bought it for the princess. She loves it and cannot wait to get back to the range.

Atom, isnt your sig a compact 40 too? how do you like the comparison in the two?

Also, whats the story on the mosquito. (yes i know i could google and read the threads)

They advertise the mosquito as the scaled down version of the 226. It feels pretty good in my hands and the wife can rack the slide no problem. They have a reputation for being finicky with the ammo. It was cheaper than the walther p22 also so that was a bonus. The down side is the store also has the 226 I want so who knows until I'm back in there buying that thing? Full report next weekend.

A buddy of mine has the Mosquito. Sweet gun, but it is definitely picky with ammo. He pretty much has to use CCI Mini-Mags or else he gets lots of cycling & feed issues.

Yeah Chris ... I have an ollllllldddddd 226. Its a shooter though. Getting ready to ship in back to Sig for their Sig Service Special ...

We need to hit the range sometime. I spent all day with my GF taking our CWP courses and all went well. She qualified and I shot one of the best targets I have in quite a while.

x2, all we shoot is bulk, and my buddy spends half his time clearing jams, while the rugers never hiccup...

put my two new Ruger's through the paces last week at the range. shot about 300 rnds and they were flawless. I cannot be happier with them. Hopefully starting my suppressor paperwork this week.

I've been kicking around the S&W M&P22 with the threaded barrel as well. I do like the M&P's too. Congrats on the purchase Meatball.

was going to mention the same thing. Now correct me if I'm wrong Jerry but if you get the G23, you can drop in the 357 sig barrel and it should be a direct swap. the mags are the same and the extractors as well.

I think my next is going to be a G34 or G35 unless I can find a G19 for Stacy.
