Heather and I took the Utah CCP class yesterday, sent off the paper work today. This picked up 33 states over the SC license.

help please....I have dibs on a vintage remington mod 40x-br 22lr thats been sitting for 40 yrs, it is from a family friends collection, i would guess excellent condition....any clues of a fair price???

i'm thinking 2 arms a leg and a cornea........

I have seen the 40X in .22 go anywhere from $800-1200 depending on condition, age, etc. Timing, or the right buyer is a big thing, the market for the old single shot .22 target rifles isn't huge.

Unless the thing was NIB, I'd say ~$900-1000 is a good starting offer in a pristine 40X. Most I have seen have sold for around $800-1000 with a few selling in the $1200 range.

I have a Kimber Model 82 Govt Model that I love;)

was going to mention the same thing. Now correct me if I'm wrong Jerry but if you get the G23, you can drop in the 357 sig barrel and it should be a direct swap. the mags are the same and the extractors as well.

I think my next is going to be a G34 or G35 unless I can find a G19 for Stacy.

You're correct, the 23 is a .40 while the 32 (357 sig) is a .40 necked down, so the barrel is the only difference. I love my 32 but the ammo is $$. I need to pick up a 19 barrel and some mags to save some money at the range, but Lone Wolf is backordered currently. Stock 19 barrels are hard to find, kinda like the whole 19 is.

Thanks Alex,
its hard to find any info on the 40X-BR...plenty on the x and xb..it seems they only made the xbr from 59 -64...

it seems I am mistaken.....today it is a model 41P ...still vintage from 1930s
of course I was all psyched about the 40x....seems like expectation is the blueprint for failure.....

yes its ..still awaiting the pics.....also have my eye on an anschutz 1413 54 match...if I can pawn a few of my wifes old purses and shoes...lol

Well I stopped in my LGS today and sitting there in the rack staring at me was a Gen 4 G19. I've not seen one on a shelf in over 2 months and nothing on the forums for under $700. So, I debated for about 30 seconds before I told them to fill out the paperwork. Looks like Stacy will be getting an early birthday present before her CCW class in March. She never gets on here so I'm not too worried but she doesn't know yet and this is going to be a surprise for her.

do you mind if i inquire about price?

So I have started doing some amateur Gunsmithing, this is my last project, it is a Kimber pro carry II SS that I bobtailed and then had the frame cerakoted tungsten grey.

What kind of work can you do? Of you are looking for paid practice, I am looking for a smith to fit a hammer, sear, disconnector and thumb safety on a Colt.:hhmm:

Nope. Don't mind at all. $539

that's a great price! Mine was 550, which i was super pumped about, then $30 out of state Maryland fee, and $70 transfer fee.

Also, when i pick it up in DC on Tuesday, its $175 more for DC FFL fee. YAY Thats one expensive Glock.

Congrats on yours. I may hit you up about the 23. Maybe. . .

Has anyone ever changed the sight on a Remington Nylon 22? Mine needs replacing, the front sight is way off, has a non original screw my dad used a while back. I want to start over and get it accurate again. It is still fairly accurate, but is not a tack driver.
