So who went to the Raleigh gun show? Did y'all here about the guy who discharged his shotgun accidentally and shot a couple people? Similar events happened in other states.
I was there when it happend, at the back of the building though, didn't hear the shot. after a while, they told the vendors to cover up their tables and stop selling. So I left.

In Durham County it's a pain in the butt to purchase a pistol. You have to get a pistol purchase permit and what not. I'm also an out of state resident only here for school. I think I could apply for a state ID card but its kind of nebulous if I can do that and still maintain my Ohio DL. I maintain my ohio residency so over the holiday break when I went back home I purchased a SW M&P 22. Where I go to school it doesn't matter if I'm a state resident or not (hence the non switch). Plus Durham taxes everything (even my dog). So I kept my out of state plates and have been renewing.
It took like 15 minutes for the background check and maybe 30 minutes to decide if I wanted the Ruger SR22 or the M&P22, lol. The hardest damn thing was finding ammo. Paid less than MSRP so I was happy.
I finally got my ammo from Palmetto State Armory this past week. Just 4 bricks but at least I can start taking it out for some plinking in the near future. Also had the hard time finding any spare magazines.

I wish you the best of luck finding one. They are just not out there right now. I'd love to find one as well. Any reason you want a Gen 4? I'd be more than happy with a Gen 3.
^megan likes the smaller grip of gen 4. We shot a 3 yesterday for a while and she was not as big a fan.

gotcha. the 3 different backstraps is a nice option.
BTW, if anyone is at a range/show/gun shop and sees a gen 4 Glock 19, please give me a call. If you are willing, i will transfer you the funds immediately. After you buy it, you can "sell" it to me and have a gun shop ship it to the FFL in DC. I cannot find one of these anywhere.

Will definitely keep an eye out. We have a show this weekend but not sure I can break away and go. What forums do you watch. Keep an eye on Armslist, carolina shooters club and the highroad.org
As much as I hate to say it (cause they are on high side for prices anyway), Hyatt Gunshop in Charlotte has the 19 as their weekly Black Friday sale today ....
