well, after about 100 hours in the last 8-9 days I am back together and driving. Working on AC and door seals today. Have to remake a exhaust pipe that is hitting front driveshaft and plumb my wastegates.. other then that everything seems to be working.

If I wasn't going to the Rubicon after I probably would just take the front driveshaft out

I’m calling her ready as of this morning. Bled the brakes with a hand vac pump last night and holy hell the original braking system on a 60 is fantastic with all new parts and a good bleed. Swapped the crappy LEDs in my PIAAs for the original 85w halogen bulbs and I have the “surface of the sun” effect I was going for, current draw be damned. Packed up recovery gear, spares, extra tools, fluids, etc, last night as well so all that is ready.

Braking system: check
Cooling system: check
Wheels & tires: check
Steering: check
Fuel delivery: check
Electrical, charging, spark: check
Lighting: check
Cassette tapes: check
Engine: low compression

Here we go, Friday morning departure can’t come soon enough.

Cassett tapes!!!! I love it Jim. I do still have my two tape cases from HS.

Got my boost codes sorta fixed yesterday. The turbine whine is perfect lmao

Gotta have something when the streaming/bluetooth cuts out from lack of reception! I got some classics (to me) and lots of brand new tapes. Yes, bands are still releasing on tape and tapes sound GREAT when they are well taken care of and played on good clean heads in a working deck.

You better not be referring to Nirvana as the classics lol

We're both old Jarod. Nirvana being on the "Classic Rock" radio stations just proves this. Don't live in denial my man.

No, but I've got some Muddy Waters, B-52s, just random whatever-I-could-find older tapes. Not really much from the grunge era. I'd keep Soundgarden's Badmotorfinger Or Butthole Surfer's Independent Worm Saloon in the truck though ... if I could find copies that played.

First timer...I assume there's group trail runs every day M-F or is it like Tuesday - Thursday?
I'll be getting into KOA Monday afternoon so Tuesday would be the first day to go out
Correct on the former. Plenty to join in on each day. And some will stay through the next weekend and wheel into the next week…

No denial here. Spent last weekend out in Mt Shavano. Got to listen my favorite radio station THE RIVER RAT. Yep, they were definitely jamming some Smashing Pumpkins and Nirvana.

Last minute changes
Made a platform for Sassy
