I “fixed” a leaky radiator hose. Hoping it holds.

What hose is it Daniel? Might be able to hunt down a replacement just in case. ID of hose on both ends and approximate length? Might not be exact OE replacement but a good backup just in case.

I’d kill for a trailer!

I’ll go look in a min and snap a pic. Feeding kiddos now.

@POTATO LAUNCHER Looks like 1 1/4. Somewhat of a weird shape.

There are two bath / restrooms from what I recall. Maybe someone will chime in that has stayed there. @cornboy

Looking at the KOA map and I only see one structure labeled "Bath & Showers" Hard to believe there's only one with 100+ camp sites.....?

I think one is back by us and the other is near the front. Didn't you guys stay one night there last time?

Yes we did...out in the back.

This year I told KOA I was with SAS. They put us in #58. Is that the right area?

That whole back tent camp area will be full of some extremely cool rigs in a few days. One more day and 12 will be rolling your direction. Sure you don't want to hop in? I promise we are not doing 6 hours on Stoney Pass this trip. Enjoyed that one. Don't think I want to drag the trailer over it again unless I camp where we had lunch.

Yessir, they agreed to put all the heathens and trouble makers way back out of sight.

As it should be.

If you think I'm a trouble making heathen now, you should have known me 20....make that 30 years ago.

Heathen must be a Texas term. Don't hear it much anyplace else. One of my old buddies rodeoed a lot down Texas way and he used that a lot.

Ole Roger also had a saying I like:

"You only cut one trail thru life. Better make it wide and deep."

And Roger followed his own advice.

I liked Stony Pass just fine.

The convoy is tempting but we want to see some new scenery on the way. That plus sleeping in the 60 is fine for a couple of nights. Much more than that and it might take a winch to get me out of it in the morning.

If John's going thru Taos wonder why his inbound route takes him thru Gunnison?

We're going to Taos then north on 64/84 to Pagosa Springs, then over to Durango to catch 550 to Ouray.

But today I heard the had burn scar flooding at Ute Park NM and the road was closed.

We'll be towing the FJ60 on a dolly behind our Silverado with Lance Camper, and want to avoid the steep passes. North Pass on CO 114 is a nice drive, and US 50 drops us off in Montrose, not far north of Ridgway and the KOA. On the way home we'll head over Dallas Divide and take CO 141 into Dove Creek. That'll take us through Cortez, Shiprock, and Farmington on the way to US 550 and home.

Hi John. Thanks for the explanation.

Just bought a nice Cummins powered '93 Dodge W250. Has us conjuring a slide-in truck camper and towing the 60.

Success! Just did a test drive and she shifts nice. I did the @Tools R Us mods to crisp up the shifts and it is perfect.

Slight mess and I'm completely exhausted. Step #6 time, then bed. Lots to do tomorrow and will probably have to organize my gear when I get there but I'm heading out!
