I love my 80 and all but seeing everyone's 40's, 60's and 7 series makes me wonder if all this bad luck didn't happen because I didn't drive my 40. A while back I decided it was too much work to get it prepared. Now looking back it would have been way easier to drive the 40 and pull the trailer!

Hindsight is 20/20

Next year bud...
The 60 and 80 series are about dead even on attendance. Good showing of 40's, 70's this year. Quite a few "oil burners" making the trek also. Best thing about SAS is getting your Cruiser out on the open road, hitting the trails and then driving it back home. Good for the mind and soul to disconnect from the world for a few days.

Ride On @dogfishlake way to hustle and make things happen!
Success! Just did a test drive and she shifts nice. I did the @Tools R Us mods to crisp up the shifts and it is perfect.

Slight mess and I'm completely exhausted. Step #6 time, then bed. Lots to do tomorrow and will probably have to organize my gear when I get there but I'm heading out!

@Reznugget and his wife will be driving up from Chinle, but I don't know when. After we left Chinle last year (FJ40 Cross County Expedition) we drove to Tsaile, then through Lukachukai and Red Valley on Navajo Route 13, which takes you to US 491 just south of Shiprock. It's a beautiful drive over the Chuska Mountains and a good shortcut. You might want to check it out.

Close to lunch time is what I'm hoping for. We'll take a vote for departure once everyone gets here. It's been a hot day on the road for many of them today.
