Chris,

I couldn't answer that, positively, but I thought the new systems are designed to run either, so your compressor should be fine.

Ron, is the Restomod similar to the Vintage Air system? My system was resting on the tranny hump.... I was also pretty close to mounting the Mark IV under the front seat for rear a/c .. vintage has a set up to run two units

Hi Lou,

They look to be about the same size, but I don't know enough about the Vintage Air, to say they are the same. I do know that the sister company of Restomod, offers a rear trunk model, for a second a/c unit, Classis Auto Air. I'm hoping that the one unit will be sufficient.

JMack, a fellow Mudder, turned me on to Restomod and in his own words, is an old hot rodder, so I can't go wrong with that advice. :)

I haven't ordered it yet, just bouncing around, trying to get a load ready for the powder coater. Always something to do.

Thanks for looking in Lou and I'm real excited about your trailer, turning out great!

As some of you know, I've been painting the inside of our house, so no shop time. Well, my wonderful Wife went out with our Daughter and I ran to the shop for some pictures!

I had a few things powder coated and need them mounted, so I can move on to the ac/heater install. I wanted to get a charcoal canister hooked up, so I bought one from Napa #VC 120. It didn't have any mounting bracket, so I made one. I think it turned out good.

Another thing I'm working on is getting the computer mounted. I want it inside the cab, but had to cut a BIG hole in the firewall in order to get the connecters and wire through. It will mean I have to make my own firewall gasket to seal it back up.

Last picture is work in progress on my drawers under the seats. I've got a ways to go.

Wait a minute, I hear the garage door opening, I got to go! where's my roller. :)

Thanks Guys! Painting's all done, in the house anyway, so I should be getting back to the fun stuff.

Just wanted to say, all my old pictures have come back as thumbnails. I'm not real good at computer fungee, but figured out how to edit my old posts and enlarge the pictures to full size. It will take awhile for me to go through them, but will get there. If any one would like me to enlarge my pictures in your thread, please let me where and I will edit them.

Maybe Woody will fix this later on, but for now, I'll keep working on it, hope all of you do to. It's nice looking at the full size, while reading.

Best Regards,

Yeah, that is a downer for me too. I just hope mine don't go back to thumbnails, when he fixes it. :) Took me three days to enlarge them. It seems like a lot of people are staying away for now. It will all work out.

On a good note, at least for me, my body guy called and it looks like in two weeks, parts are going to get painted. He wants to start with the removed parts first, doors, tailgate, etc. I feel like I've a lot to do yet, but better now than later.

awesome build, how does the vortec fit with the front axle? I see you are spring under. I was going to go with a vortec but am worried about the pan hitting the axle when sprung over.

I too am considering using bed liner on the outside. I really like the look of the smurf blue they offer.

Guppie,

With me using the 60 axle, which moves the pumpkin over some and the Camaro oil pan, the third member doesn't come close. I think it's going work fine. I'll see if I can find a picture. Also I'm using aftermarket springs, which gives it a few inches.

Ron,

How many gallons of LizardSkin did you spray on the inside of your pig?

I’m looking at the coverage and it looks like three gallons of the LizardSkin sound control insulation and maybe two gallons of the LizardSkin ceramic insulation might do it?

Thanks!

J Mack,

What areas are you talking about, since I sprayed almost everything inside. Just the floor, I'd say 1 to 1 1/2 gals. of the Sound Control and the Ceramic insulation seems to go a little less, so buy 2 gallons. Same for the roof. Doors and tailgate, another gallon of SC. I didn't use the Ceramic in the tailgate, but I did in the doors. Also sprayed the firewall and up under the dash, really deadened the sound down.

I put down 2 coats of each, on all of it. I bought mine at a hotrod shop, so I could pick it up when needed. If I were doing it all at once and had to order, then maybe 3 gallons of each. The stuff 's not cheap, so buying as you go seems better.

Tip: Don't go heavy at one time, better to build up. it will crack as it dries, if too heavy. 45 min to an hour between coats, if warm. Dries slower when cold.

Hope I didn't confuse rather than help.
