My Brother had the restaurant set up a tub of Budweiser for a toast to him, so I'm waiting to break out the Taylor when we can get together.
Wish we could line up all the Pigs and join you in the funeral procession...

I'm trying to ignore it hoping it goes away. I did check the big connections from the battery, but want to replace my ignition switch, too. I've been searching the interwebs for the best switch ( aftermarket ), but haven't bought one yet. I drove it to a car show last week with nothing happening, but it needs to get inspected before anymore trips, the plate is past due. I've been making some alum. plates for the tailgate, so I can stand on it without bending and have a flat surface for cooking. With everything going on in my life, I wanted something easy to distract me. I'm back at it, the wagon is a needy thing and won't stand for any slacking. :)

Just to add....my ignition switch now is also an aftermarket switch that I've had trouble with before, so thinking that might be the problem.

So I had an interesting job today on a Shuttle Wagon that made me think of you.

Short version of a long yarn was that a bad battery was causing a slew of strange issues. The low voltage caused issues with both the ECU’s and the A/C. Took a couple hours of troubleshooting before realizing there was only 7v in the system. So the other take from this is that you’ll save yourself a lot of time using a Fluke MultiMeter over a test light.

Always a lesson to be learned right!

Would the amp gauge tell the story while driving or just under a high load like when starting? The batteries are getting long in the tooth, but the high output alt' is cranking out 15 amps at the gauge.

I checked it with a multimeter a couple years ago thinking it was too high, but manufacturer said it's normal for that alt. I should replace the batteries, 6 years or so old.

Probably wouldn’t hurt. Seems like these spendy-ass batteries these days should last longer than what they do.
The amp pull at idle is going to depend on what accessories are being used, but should run up to its rated output when checked with a battery load tester. Shouldn’t have more than about a 0.2 - 0.3 amp draw when off (sometimes after a delay) due to the ECM.

Once you get all through with that, you might pull out your wiring diagram and find the 12v sources and grounds going to your ECM and just check them to verify they’re all good.

Getting ready for the SSS. Let it rain, we don't care! Got the new awning installed and the cooking table.
