I got the tank semi bolted in, need to boil it out and paint. Told you it was big. I'll have to make a skid plate for it as well, but I'm still not following Pighead. :)

If you guys figure out how to ship it or pick it up, you all can use it, but shipping back and forth could get expensive. My Son is eyeing it up for his Zuk, at some point in time.

Question on my new sway bar links. Set it up with Georg's extended links, but it's still way too short. Should I wait until the motor and body are back on, so there's more weight on the springs, before I make new mounts. I'm thinking it will squat down some.

What sway bar did you use for the front

Gonzo,

That's a 62 sway bar, it's alittle thicker in Dia. than a 60 bar. Something I just learned. I have a 60 set and a 62, both the same shape, 62's just beefier.

Thanks for the kind words. You won't have a problem selling your H55. I keep looking for an update on your build.

Ever since I brought the 55 home, I didn't like the welds on the spring mount supports. I good friend of mine, threw me over the edge when he pointed them out to me. So, today I cut one side off and made my own. I don't know if they are any better, but at least I can say I'm the guy who messed them up.

First picture are the old ones, then what I came up with.

My fuel pump arrived late today, so thought I'd show you what I'm going to do. I got the idea from a friend of mine, Rover67, up in the 60 forum. Here's a link to what he did, with his long range tank. https://forum.ih8mud.com/60-series-wagons/394565-tank-fuel-pump-conversion.html. I thought it was a great idea and easy enough. The pump is from a 2002 silverado and will work good with my setup. It's 15 1/4 inches long and my tank is 16 inches deep, so I'm still debating on what to do or not do.

I could lengthen the rods another inch or french in the top, so it drops down an inch or just leave it alone and not use the 3/4 inch of fuel. I'm still waiting on the mounting plate from Vetteworks, then I'll cut the hole in the tank.

Anyway, I'd like to thank, Rover67 for posting a neat and easy solution to a fuel pump problem. Here's the pump

Hey Travis,

Thanks for the offer, it's on the way. Expensive ring, but will make a nice, clean mount. I look forward to seeing an update on your's.

Ron
