Gosh. While it is somewhat gratifying that some think that I'm the Pigdriver to follow...I'm not worthy. Perhaps I should get that bumpersticker "Don't follow me, you won't make it" But that might seem boastful, and not my style.
Nice work though.

You da Man!

Worked on fitting the fuel tank today. Made all the brackets and realized the fancy rear cross brace I made, has to be notched.

So, I bolted up the U-Bolt Flip kit, Georg sent me. I still need to cut off the extra threads, unless somebody knows a reason I shouldn't.

All in all, not a bad day for me. Time now to throw another log on the fire! :)

I vote cut off those extra threads, you don't need them anymore.

put a nut on them and thread it all the way down, cut flush to the top of the nut, and back off the nut...it will clean the threads as it goes...

Thanks Guys, I sure didn't like the look of those threads, sticking up. They'll be gone tomorrow.

Lambcrusher, That's an old trick, I've used for many years. I'll just run the u-bolt nut, back up. Thanks for the tip and keep them coming

The extra treads are a good store spot for extra lug nuts. They thread on perfectly. My son figured that one out .

Scrapdaddy, just went through the body portion of your thread and saved some pictures for when i finally get to the body portion of my restomod, the worst part of my body is the underside of the rear quarters where the rear body mount is (toward the far back). by any chance do you have a close up of the rear corners when you had it tipped over? Much appreciated if you do!

I've got a few. Hope these help. I might have already posted these

Awesome, thanks Ron. Missed that first one when i went through the thread.

Two steps forward and three steps back! At least it feels that way.

Lifted the body back off and started on the frame. I had to put some pockets in the rear cross brace, so the tank will fit in good. With the big ass tank in there, the rear sway bar wouldn't fit. It's a 62 sway bar going on a 60 axle, mounted to a 55 frame. I had to add 1 1/4 inch to each side, so it misses the tank.

I'll show you what I'm talking about in a couple days.

All for today, BobM, where's the bud

I love the way you can move that around on the rotisserie, I'm getting one for my pig next month, then all I'll need is a bigger garage. My wife's gonna kill me.

Lookin' great as usual Ron.

I also like that yellow bug in the background. I don't know what it is about those little cars, just so cool.

Thanks Travis,

Old VW's are another one of my bad habits. I've had a bunch of them. That yellow one is a 74, had it since 85. It needs another redo.

You know, that rotisserie is one of the better things, I built. If you need to do alot of work on the body and you got a bad back, like me, then you really should make one. I have @ $300 in metal and it's heavyduty.

Can't help with your Wife. :)
