We’ll pedal as fast as we can tomorrow and try for some high speed video with Scraps. I have a smart phone and an old school Ranger overdrive. Ron has a flip phone and a/c. Guess that says something about our individual technological priorities.
Nice dinner and great conversation tonight. Followed by a drive back to the Best Western sans headlights. I love old cars!
Also had a nice visit with Kurt and Chris while picking up e-brake parts at Cruiser Outfitters.

Promised pics of following Scrapdaddy at speed. My speedo is 10 percent slow so adjust accordingly
This was just before Deo (cruiserjunktion) blew by us like we were standing still.

Here's a fun update. We're picking our way around Co. and coming down Rabbit Ear Pass I had a sparkplug come loose, tightened it and found bad threads! Long story short with offers of a thousand dollars to fix before the Labor day weekend and waiting until next Wed., but getting turned down I drove to Granby, Co. and found an old shop who is hopefully going to put a helicoil in today. We got a room in town and I'm drinking a real man's beer (right Bob). :) I bought some JB Weld just in case I had to glue it in, just to get home. An old guy who owned the shop before said I could drive it home on 7 cylinders. I've heard that, but it's a long way from home Toto. Still no camera store though, doesn't anybody use real cameras anymore?

I drove all the way home on 4 cylinders I'm sure you'll be fine on 7.
Let me know if you need me to grab a trailer and come get you and bring you back to Boise. I'm sure we can get you fixed up and back on the road here even if we need to put a new head on that side.

Thanks guys! He's got it now and hopes to get to it today, if not it's not going to happen this weekend. I didn't know Wal mart sold cameras.

We did talk about this too @scrapdaddy !
I bet we could get it stuffed in there and you could still make the next camping trip.

Drove my Corvair Spyder quite awhile with a helicoil in one hole. Sold it that way in fact. Installed at a Chevy dealer in Mesa AZ. I had to also buy the odd size drill bit, which I still use occasionally. Good luck with the repair.

I did the whole PP 2019 on 7 cylinders.
I was on 7 1/2 cylinders until the campground plug wire repair with the hi temp red goop near Wendover. Plug boot too close to cast iron header no good. Just did the permanent wire replacement a couple days before PP 2020.
