Are we the first to make it to the Brown Dog this year? 😆

landed in Boulder. Grabbed the 200 series sliders from Tanner/ @quickdraw. Great guy. Loaded them into the 60. Along with the Weller Bourbon he snagged for me. Gratzie !! Between 120lbs of sliders and the bourbon, glad I went Old Man Emu heavy on the rear suspension. What time are folks landing at the Dog in Telluride tomorrow??

Couple days on dirt with @Fyffer & @yarncruiser, and of course Mrs. Trash.

Hit Lake City earlier and now we’re posted up at the Williams Creek developed campground at the start of Cinnamon Pass. Tomorrow we’ll take that over to Animas. I guess since Corkscrew is closed we’ll have to head to Silverton and then over 550 to Ouray.

If anyone is near Lake City and wants to drop by camp, look for three dirty trucks, four dirty people, and a mean dog.

Corkscrew and Engineer/Mineral creek are open as of today. Just past the entrance and they removed to road closed sign, corkscrew was closed because people were taking that to get on 550 while it was getting worked on, but everything seems to be open at the moment except for Black Bear, which should be open Monday afternoon.

Locked and loaded. Just finished cleaning all the glass. I can't remember the last time I did that. Tee time is zero 9-hundred tomorrow. In the clubhouse around 15 hundred.

plugged into shore power to run the fridge.

Maureen & I are holed up in a motel in Salina, Ut. Leaving fairly early tomorrow AM, for an early Sunday afternoon arrival at KOA.

PS: Holy do do…it was hot today. Approaching or exceeding triple digits all day. So far the 60 has been great.👍

Thanks for this, and everyone else who’s helping, Classic Cruisers is being ing a fuel pump.
We were 3/4 of the way up Antero when my friends fuel pump went out. He had a friend, should be named McGyver, who diagnosed that it wasn’t just vapor lock, rigged up a funnel zip tied to the wing window with a hose running into the carb, steered, shifted, and poured gas from water bottle that we got gas into by pressurizing the tank with my air compressor. Currently mounting an electric pump in a campground outside Buena Vista.
That’s for getting back with me and the contacts @DangerNoodle !

Awesome, so we have visual on Corkscrew being open. Excellent. Appreciate your feedback!

This picture is from last year but we took this same route today. There is a reason this baby is called the loneliest Road in America. We are traveling alone…but so far so good.

We all know there is no good place to experience vehicle issues…but you certainly don’t want issues out here.

We're not far behind, tentatively planned to camp somewhere outside salt lake city but with triple digit temps we decided to get a hotel as well. Trying to roll out of Orem about 630 tomorrow to avoid the worst of the heat.

Might need to install a new charcoal canister when we get there, alot of pressure in the tank at our last stop, first I've had problems with it since swapping the lines previously

My lord these triple digit temps in AZ... Cruiser did great running the AC and pulling hills while still maintaining temp just above 200. Made it to Sedona for the night as an easy halfway stop.

We're set up. I can't hold the camera still enough for a 4 second night shot.

Unloaded the 40 in Gunnison and drove it the last 2 hours to see how the cooling system and A/C is working at altitude and on a hot day. Ran great!

It's cooled off at the KOA now and feels great!

My parents, Steve and Andrea are just behind you in cedar city tonight. If you see a big freshly painted silver 60 on the road tomorrow that’s them.
