Here's a short update, the new fuel pump was installed and works fine, IPOR also installed the new tires and wheels. At the time I really liked the wheels but I've considered having Stockton Wheels work up a set of Cruiser wheels 10" wide, for the classic look with hub caps. Front seat belt brackets welded in, wiring harness for my M416. Waiting for the speedo sending unit, trailer hitch, license bracket on the tire carrier and the steering stabilizer. Getting very close

I am drooling!!! I hope that one day mine will look that great! I know it won't ever be that fast, but I'll sit inside it and make vroom noises like Ige does with her truck.

Heather thats to funny,based on what I can see your truck is going to look great. I have yet to remove my fenders to see if there's any rust hiding out , and the paint job that was done just before I got it

looks awesome, question for you, are you worried about the roof rack messing up the rain gutters? I have a similar rack and am wondering if I am going to run it or not as I have heard it can bend up the rockers and crack the metal, etc, over time......
Howdy! I don't think you need to sweat the problems with the rain gutters. I have had my rack on the roof for about 20 years, and no problems yet, unless you count all the kindling I gather from the low tree branches!! Of course, My rack is mounted onto a piece of 1/2" square tube that runs full length, instead of being clamped on.
P.S. It never rains in Arizona, so maybe that helps too. John

You think your drooling, I have to use a towel as a bib everytime I drive this beast. Were still having a couple of small issues, IPOR found the powersteering box was leaking so it was replaced, and were still getting stange sounds from the new fuel pump, so they are trying to figure out if its in the line, gas tank or what. The pump is not losing pressure so it a little complicated. I really want to take it home but Lance won't let it go until he's satisfied that everything is right. First class guy and a great team.
I placed an order with Second Skin (soundproofing) and plan on laying down Dynamat and Dampflier than shoot a coat of thier Spectrum and Firewall which has ceramic properties then cover all that with Heatwave mat. This little Piggy's going to be quiet.
Noah I had the same thought about the rack, John(Inkpot) did you weld the rack tube to the truck? Got any shot's of that setup

Howdy! Lou, My roof rack is shaped like a snow sled. It's just a box frame with legs going down to a set of runners that rest in the rain gutter. I have three 1/4"x 1", grade 8 bolts with nyloks going thru the 1/2 square tube and thru the gutter on each side. There is just enough room to open the doors and clear the nuts. If you fab up your own rack, remember that the roof and gutter have a significant curve front to back. I figured it out AFTER I had it all welded together. Picture it in my driveway, upside down with the corners resting on cinder blocks, and me jumping up and down in the middle trying to bend the curve into it. It took a LOT of jumping, but it worked. Here's the latest, still having issues with the second fuel pump,after running for a bit the pump starts humming and moaning and the engine is not getting enough fuel. So in an effort to figure out the problem, Lance Cam and Vince thought it might be the fuel tank, inside corrosion clogging the filter and pump.
So we dragged a FJ62 tank over and hooked up my truck to this tank that's sitting on the ground, which BTW has a internal fuel pump and like magic problem solved, fuel pressure was steady and the engine ran smooth.
We dropped the old tank, drained it and filled it with water and Lance cut a hole in the tank at which point the thought was to put the FJ62 pump in my tank, that was until we peered inside , it was rusty with loose particals. So I needed a new tank. Lance thought about cutting a section out of the FJ62 tank and moving the filler neck, but I would have ended up with a pretty small tank. So in the end a new custom IPOR tank started to take shape, which will have the FJ62 internal fuel pump. Here's a few pic's of the tank, the new fan shroud and the exhaust route over the skid plate.

I purchase Sor's stuff last year never installed, I plan on following your lead, it appears the proflie you selected for the door openings on the body looks good and you can close your doors, and it appears the rest of the weatherstripping that HeathRJ used should work fine.
Question for you, cranking my windows up and down the glass is coming out off the channel that has a rubber weatherstrip , so it tilts and makes it really hard to roll up and down the windows. Is there a fix for this? Can I just replace the rubber channel? Anybody?

Fuel Tank finish
Here are the shots of the tank, it was leak tested primed and painted. Lance told me it's a 99.9% shot that my 55 will be in my driveway tomorrow and I'm not crossing my fingers, based on all the testing this new fuel tank should solve the problems with fuel delivery. It holds 31.4 gallons of
high test petrol.

Home sweet home
My sweet pig is in the driveway complete with a new gas tank that holds almost 33 gal above the frame rail, a couple more gallons then we estimated. Here's a few pic's of the truck and one with the ARB awning extended, this is a great awning, it has two poles that extend from the awning base out to the poles that extend to the ground, so there's no need to attach lines staked into the ground unless it's windy.
