Crazy built fella. Just had some slow loading CAD work to do so I skimmed the whole thing between saves. You're giving some interesting ideas on the fuel tank. What made you decide to do aluminum and what are you planning on for pickups?

Did aluminum just because I had the means and weight savings was nice. Pick ups I might use a stainless tube inside the tank from the top down to the lowest points. Might do one on each side. We'll be working on that in the next few days...Putting the fuel pump mount next to the front of the tank too.
I'll post more pics when stuff gets done.

New cross members finished being boxed in. Pivot mounts for cantilever arms all gusseted and boxed. A little each week and I might get there..

@landcruisnman you probably know this already but I was just told that 6xxx grade aluminum isn't corrosion resistant and 5xxx is. So anodizing might be a good thing. Some guys on an email list I'm on have been talking about building aluminum gas tanks.

I have an aluminum tank in my T100 but I got it used so I don't know what grade aluminum it is...

How UV resistant is anodizing?

Wow. Been busy with life. Got some pig time finally. Put pockets in tank for spring clearance and some protection below. I'll plate in the spaces on the tube frame. Next filler mount. Need to make a custom flange so tank can be removed. Stay tuned...

Gonna be odd not seeing any springs or shocks in the rear. They're tucked away pretty good. Now body back on to do tank filler.
