I think I have a problem but then…

Got my cruise control in just in time to drive out to Paniment Days. Wow! It’s great! Very stoked!
Man! Now I have more work to do. Broke the rear passenger axle, bent rear sway bar, broke a rear shock, and put some scratches on my new bumper. BUT no body damage! I would have been so sad. Thankfully all stuff underneath. The trail was called Defense Mine. The part where things went south was on the Cummins Crossover.

I think I need to build something that I won’t care if I crease a panel. Before I do something stupid to my pretty little pig! Maybe a 40? Anyone have an old beater 40 that I can make into the rock smasher?

Looks like their server is down- or they’re gone. Trail gear still shows offerings from them. That bums me out, because my rear fzj80 full floating right hand shaft is one of their locker compatible cut to length deals. Hope I never need a new one. Which rear axle are you running?

I called Dpi and they don’t carry them. I think they were sold twice and now are gone.
RCV has m300 shafts but they cost $1200!
I had an old 60 shaft and took it down to Specter and got a trade deal, an axle for an axle. So now I am running stock Toyota axles.

Got it all together but now my locker switch is not working!

MAN!

So much fun!
Got the locker thing sorted a while ago.
I noticed a leak around the third front member. I hate leaks! Turns out that all those nuts that hold on the 3rd member had loosened! What the heck I am positive I torqued those on! While on the lift I noticed some grease leaking from the bottom of the from pass knuckle. Oh great thos had loosed as well!
Suffice it to say I don’t have anymore leaks!

One of the last things I need to do is get these doors hung properly. I just went through the drivers front and back internals. Found that the drivers glass was slipping out of its track. Pulled it out derusted the track, Por15, reassemble with new rubber.

I had to push/ pull the levers completely in to get them to release. Did some minor welding and now they open within a 1/4 inch of push. Very nice.

Another big is that I finally got Bobs door sill in the back driver!! I have been waiting for years to get these back in!!!!!!
AND to use the special screws that JMack suggested years ago!!!! Or at least it seems years ago!
Very excited with this as it marks an end of something! Well….

Darn! I’m on a roll!

As per JMack

If you towards the aft end of the sill you can see where the door hits. That is why it has been so long, but after further review it clears in that area.
Kinda makes we want to use a big rubber hammer and push the metal in a bit on the door till it clears.

Reaching out Bobm.
I am in the process of installing my last Bobm door sill and I am realizing that my front passenger needs to be an inch wider to capture all the new wireing.

How do I make a new one of these that will accommodate the new dimensions? As I look at this piece I am realizing the level needed to make these things and have a new appreciation for all things Bobm!
