Did you talk to Torfab about the fitment issue, or you’re just on to headers as the fix? Headers will increase under hood temps too won’t they?

I’m going to heat wrap them and yes I’m in talks with Tor, he’s looking into my exact combo and fitment at the moment. It’s still a very new kit and some growing pains are to be expected. If a $300 set of headers is the answer to shoving a giant V8 into an i6 frame than I’d say that’s a win.

You’ve got the right attitude and you’re blazing a trail for all us on the sidelines. Keep the great work up! I know I’m taking tons of notes and accumulating parts to do the same swap on my 80 with a hole in the block…

What donor car did the engine come out of? I am following your build closely as I am getting ready to go down the same path.

First start! Still a ways to go but she’s alive and sounds healthy

Man! You’re cruising right along! Very exciting and it sounds awesome!

Congrats on the startup! So you mentioned DeatschWerks for the fuel pump early on, what is it that you used? Seemed to imply it was an in tank pump… Brief search of their site didn’t seem to indicate so.

I do have the pump but it is not installed as of yet. But will be soon and I’ll post more on that.
