Had to take a little bit off time off of Pikachu to participate in the FJ40 Cross-Country relay with my son. Made a little day adventure out of it.

I still buy nearly all of my Toyota parts from a friend I made in Denver years ago, Joe Borger at Groove Toyota. Instead of running over there at lunch twice a month during my 7-year stint in Colorado, we have to interact via UPS freight across state lines. Still worth it and I love supporting his business.

OEM vacuum hoses, belt, air filter, spark plugs, cig lighter, coolant temp sensor, crush washers, and some other stuff arrived last week.

So the mission of recreating my favorite 40 is becoming a reality. I pulled my dusty old OEM bows out of a dark corner of the garage when the @Trollhole top arrived a few days ago. It took me a few minutes to reacquaint myself with how this gangly old frame goes together, but soon enough it happened.

I am thrilled with the quality of the soft top so far. It shipped on 4/21, exactly as promised.

Pikachu.

Very well done sir, original stripes are the best on a 40.:steer::bounce:

Carson that looks awesome man. Really does. Nice work.

Is that the pvc or canvas soft top? Have to order one myself this week.
