Well guys, the Dirtbag patina FJ40 that started this thread got a little bit of a bath, and I think the ugly duckling is more like the ugly-ish belle of the ball now! I'm surprised at how well she cleaned up, but she still has a bit of quirk. I left the smiley face on the hood for the lols. Check out the newest pics... Oh, and it's for sale! I so badly want to bring this truck back to the Midwest. Looks awesome after the bath!

Here is our 71. Has sat in our shop yard since 2006. Before that out in open w no top full of pine straw and beer cans. My daughter and I will be resurrecting her. Father/daughter project. Mechanical only. Rust will remain. I think we will call her “Patina Queen”. I have to find a carburetor for it. Took it off long ago and don’t know where it is. Motor is a 78 that was “freshly” rebuilt before being parked.
