Honestly, I think the whole thing would work best with two fans on low speed used to push air into the booth , a lot safer anyway . Not to mention it only takes a short while for overspray to totally coat the fan blades . Mine did that pretty quick despite using double filters .
Somewhere around here I have pics of that poor little booth out in the back yard .

so two fans on low to pressurize the booth. Will this be enough airflow to move the overspray?

Yes. It doesn't take much. Double up the filters on the outlet. The furnace filters will not catch all of the overspray in a single layer. I know this because my black Avalanche has little specs of pewter down one side.

In my totally inexperienced and un-professional opinion, I think what you want here is a high volume of air movement at a low speed. For example, you'd rather have 5 fans set super low than 2 fans set super high. Hi velocity air movement will interfere with your spray pattern and cause the droplets to dry between your gun and the workpiece.

Obviously the size of your exhaust outlet needs to be the same as the size of the inlet (or maybe slightly smaller if you want a little pressure).

I would duct tape all of your seams where the plastic sheeting meets as well.

Like I said, I've never done this in my life. So my opinion is probably worthless. Maybe somebody else can chime in, but this is what I would do.

Well after a case of the runs she's in color and clear. I worked the runs out with sandpaper after about 8 hrs of drying then reshot the whole tub with 2 more coats of clear. It came out really well with the exception of a little orange peel and a boo boo on the drivers rear quarter where I sanded to far and burned through the clear. Now the color in a few spots is a shade darker. The good news is that most of those spots will be covered by the tire carrier. The last pic shows the issue. It's driving me crazy, but a few buddies looked at it and the vote was to leave it alone. I figure I can take it to a paint shop that knows how to properly blend clear coat and have the spot fixed. Next up is the tinted raptor liner.

Looks awesome, man!

That orange peel isn't bad. In fact it makes it look more original, since that's how the factory single stage looks.

I always think it looks a little weird to see a cruiser with a mirror finish on the clear coat.

I sprayed in the tintable Raptor liner. Really really happy with it! Hopefully this puppy gets bolted back on the chassis for the last time. Sorry for the bad pics. It's dark out and all I could find was the camera phone. Better pics tomorrow after I bolt it back on.

Thanks Dan. Come by anytime and check it out. I am hoping to fire it up before Christmas! I just reread your email. The knuckles and bits from the mini axle sound like maybe the best option. I have a knuckle rebuild kit and disk brake pads for a FJ60. Will these work on the mini truck stuff? Does it have calipers?

That's one awesome finish! Great paint job!!
