Working on the transfer case today. New shift gasket and nose cone saver installed with studs.

Talk about a pain in the arse! I made the mistake of installing the idler gear backwards. I think that's what it's called. I installed the transfer case and then had to pull it to fix the gear. All is good now and it's installed with a new steaked nut . Going to install front and rear output seals on it tomorrow. Paint the cover and linkage. Hoping to bolt up the drive shafts too.

I believe it's called the clutch inspection boot. Allows you to view the back of the pressure plate and throw out bearing without removing much.

Could you do me favor and locate a part # on that Clutch Inspection Plug?

No idea what that part number is. I looked on SOR, but didn't see it. I bet they have them, just give them a call. I would bet Marv at Classic cruisers has a good used one. He has a bone yard.

I hate to pay $10 shipping on a $15 part. I'm putting an order together on www.toyotapartseast.com and trying to combine shipping. They have diagrams but for some strange reason I can't locate that plug.

Thanks for the link though, I'd totally forgotten about that place.

Great work!

And great color choice.

I just got my 'Olive Oil' back from the restorer and I spent WAYYYYY more than I had hoped, I think this is the way yours will look.

Very nice!!! What size tires are those and what what brand? They look like the elusive BFG MT 33x9.5. Rather nearly extinct.
What springs are you running?
