I did some searching a while back. Best price I found with good reviews was CTI Powder Coating in Indian Trail. They wanted $125 to sand blast five LC steelies and $375 to blast and powder coat five LC steelies. Everybody else wanted roughly $45 each to blast and $90 each to blast and powder coat.

If you decide to take some parts to CTI, and wouldn't mind taking a few pieces for me, let me know. I need to have 5 wheels blasted. Their hours are M-F 7:00-4:00. Closed on Saturdays. I work the exact same hours and I can't take a day off work just to carry my junk over there.

Do you recommend them for bumpers and are they able to color match?
Would like to find a good, affordable place nearby for when my rear bumper finally gets delivered.

I don’t have any experience with these folks other than to say that they’ve had the best prices in the Charlotte area that I could find. They’ve been around for many years. I would think that they have a full palate of colors to choose from. You’d want to call and ask them for more specific info.

@JohnVee , are the wheels steel and rusty/pitted, or aluminum that are losing their clear and stuff? I've got a green scotchbrite ball that mounts in a drill that i used to scruff up my 80 wheels for paint. was a whole lot cheaper than stripping and powder. mine had plastidip on them too, that required acetone and a separate green scotchbrite pad to remove

It was there on display, had several generations of Supras as well on display. I did not linger at the new one, they'll be a dime a dozen in a year. I did linger at the GM Performance booth checking out plumbing and electrical requirements for the supercharged motors. Word everywhere at the show "Yeah LS3s are boring, done to death but if you want to get there and get back there is no better choice"

When I was considering, I was really drooling over the SC LTs because I wanted that low end towing torque. There are a lot of LT swaps happening now, even in Cruisers. It's all relative... LT>LS3>>LS1>>>>>>>>>>>>>>OE tractor motors.

@NCFJ - Did you see a 2020 Supra get auctioned off? Toyota says they were taking one to Barrett Jackson.

Built Chevota FJ45 just went for 75K. Looked nice, but had diamond plate... NOT my cup o tea. At that price, I would have expected a link suspension, but it did have bypass shocks :meh:

Took my dad out today for his first non-medical excursion since early November. He needed a watch battery so we went across the street to a jewelry store. He felt good enough about it that he's wanting to splurge tomorrow and venture out for lunch! :) To Burger King.

Not a $75K truck

Its Barrett-Jackson...what do you expect? The further into the week, the larger the wallets, the smaller the brains...

Chemical strip? I plan on redoing my wheels sometime and will be using aircraft stripper. Previous owner did a pretty poor job with the painting. I've debated whether to change up the wheel color to something other than flat black. I've got to convince the wife that there are other color options for wheels .
