Vintage Rockwell drill press; 1/4" chuck, has to be at least 35 years old. Rockwell disappeared when the brand was bought by Pentair in 1981 or so. I would offer $25 tops.

More likely 1/2" chuck. Delta Homecraft probably 1/4". General rule of thumb for the Rockwell stuff is 'older the better' as they ventured into cost cutting efforts later '70s till their end.

I'll post picks when I get back tomorrow and those that are interested can come pick theirs out...I'm buying them all...

If i can find mine, i've got the center console pad. I updated to a lexus es top hatch. I gotta find it, though.

I "should" be at Lake Mary Nell on the college campus Saturday morning sailing. If i have it, youre welcome to it.

I'll let you know if i can find it.

If you find it, call or text me. I'll meet you somewhere on campus. You're the man, once again...

JDM Visors and overhead console. Gray in color.

I've had them for a year and haven't done anything with them. Time to let go. Purchased from another mud member that was in Japan.

Paid $250 shipped. So I'll start the price there.

Would also be up for a trade. In the market for lift coils, shocks, camping stuff etc.

I need this, because Roadkill.

But seriously, whats this worth? Whats a fair price to get into it?
$1200 plus whatever the doctor charges for a tetanus booster. It looks too far gone to restore. Even if you wanted to just get it driving reliably and somewhat safely you'd spend more than it would be worth.
Assuming it runs down the road, you'd likely need to do rod ends, bushings, soft lines, etc. I am a fan of cool old stuff but driving these early ones with the F, 3 on the column and the sketchy single circuit master is not for the faint of heart. IMO this truck has no redeeming qualities whatsoever...except that it is a 40.

4 speed trans out of a 86 FJ60 make me an offer

You still got the h42? Wouldn't have a split case to go with it would you? Hoarding for a swap into my 92.

Cool - I'm shooting to get them first thing early tomorrow. If anyone wants to commit to one, LMK asap. s*** - i might just buy them all :smokin:

Lots of variations of motors were used in that press. Be sure it is 1-phase and not 3-phase. 110V would be ideal over a 220V.

I'm mostly in agreement with Dave @roadstr6 with his assessment. It all comes down to your eventual plans for the vehicle. Like Dave said, I would not consider it as a candidate for restoration. But... it has new brakes so I will go on the assumption that it will run and stop. If you just want to tow it to Uwharrie and have fun on the trails, it might not be that bad. You'd have to put some work in to the engine and steering (what Dave said), but wheelers don't necessarily need much for electrical systems. So if you just want something to tinker on, I'd consider no more than about $2500; pending an evaluation of the frame rust (thicker metal on the old guys). Oh, and you need to make good friends with someone that is really good with them. I have @dbenke and @ErikinSC on speed dial.

Full disclosure: I am generally willing to pay more than most folks are.

As Jeremy says it could make a fun off-road truck. I would hate to have to drive it on the road much. The pics Eric posted don't show us much so I am judging by what little I can see and making lots of assumptions. The rockers are rusted through so I have to assume that the rear sill and horns are mostly gone too. Next to go is the body mounts and the frame itself. It looks like aftermarket bucket seats so I have to assume that the cool early under-the-seat toolbox is missing. Hard to tell from the pics but it is possible that this was a FST truck. If it has an actual FST tailgate (and not barn doors) and the vader light on the dash it would be worth a little more. If the mileage is correct there may be a lot of life left in the drivetrain. Sadly, the F and 3 speed are barely worth their weight in scrap. Even if you parted it out you wouldn't get enough for the parts to make it worth while. Yep. It would be a great farm truck or something to use like you would a side-by-side quad. Strictly off road. Use as-is or maybe spring it over, hack the fenders and put the biggest tires that would fit on it and have fun.

I stopped and looked at coming back from the Land of Oz in September the frame didn't look to bad overall looked like mostly surface rust not a lot of rot. Didn't see any visible leaks on the drive train they left it unlocked potential for some wiring issues noticed a few nests in the vehicle but didn't see anything sticking out in your face truck has definitely sat for a very long time.

Unless you hear otherwise, I'll be along the shoreline of Lake Mary Nell on Williamson Ave from about 930-1230 saturday. Then we usually end up goin over to Skids for lunch.

I'll text you if my plans change, and I cant make it.

Thanks for the response guys . I have 2 CJs on the market and looking for something like this when I free up the cash. It would be off-road, cruise around town when it's nice. As long as the frame is solid, and mechanically sound the body rust doesn't bother me. I've definitely had worse and repaired.

The rust bucket is not worth much has rust through on all panels , sill is gone . It would be the only way I would fill comfortable cutting one up to make a trail rig .
