I am sure this one has been discussed as it has been posted on and off for months. Looks pretty eaten up. What would be a decent offer on it? I am not in the market for one bc I really need to get my '97 up to speed....I am sure someone here has checked it out.

I've seen it in person ,it's bad!

We could probably start the ONSC Band. I still play around the house but played full time for a few years. Exciting times.
You're in Asheville? Go see Jerry at Music City on Patton Ave if you need gear. Tell him you know me and he might kick you outta there.

According to him he's asking a decent price:

"All other Land Cruisers currently on craigslist are listed for $3000-$6000 more than what I am asking"

My first 62 in Boston was in better condition but still rusty and I bought it for $1500 and sold it for $1200 before moving back to NC.

Be prepared to do what @GLTHFJ60 did and replace everything if you want it to last.

Couldn't have put it better myself :D

@forrest5000 @jamesurq @Rice - I'll see about getting 4ish tomorrow. Without knowing if they are all the exact same, are you ok with something similar in age, USA made, and if I'd spend my money on it??

Affirmative, if it's got some "vintage" on it and is a "bench-top" type then I'm in.

Machine shop auction in Monroe...

Machine Shop & Accessories

Whew! My heart sank when I saw this. I was afraid my favorite machine shop must have gone under but alas, no. Thank God! This is some other place. I don't know why I would worry. My guy has been in business for 30+ years. He'll die before he closes shop.

Thats whats happened to the last 4 machine shop auction listings ive seen. Owner passed away, and noone can run the shop, so they sell out.

Vintage Rockwell drill press; 1/4" chuck, has to be at least 35 years old. Rockwell disappeared when the brand was bought by Pentair in 1981 or so. I would offer $25 tops.
