Wanted - 60s International Harvester 4x4 truck - prefer Travelette (quad cab) but not opposed to single cab.

Ideally local-ish if anyone has any leads, looking at some stuff online but not close already

$10k budget to get a dependable weekend truck

Your budget may be too low to get that dependable (im guessing you mean reliable and ready as is) part. I'll keep an eye out for you over here though if you want me to and would be open to travel to it.

Is it just internationals or all older crew cabs you are interested in? There was a 70's crew cab chevy that sold recently me with a 6bt nv4500 swap in it for 12k... all it needed was paint, body was perfect and interior was great.

Basically it will be needed once or twice a week to drive around to breweries/events/etc for marketing, I am expecting $1-3k of work once it gets to me. The old look/tuned-up engine is most important and don't necessarily need fresh paint/interior.

Looking in your area would be good, I'll add it to the Craigslist search area. I will not buy something I can't physically go see or have someone who knows their s*** go see (like you, I don't know my s***, but will be taking someone who does).

Any classic long-bed truck / crew cabs would work. I really like the Internationals attached. The M715 that is around is cool, I think the SOA and 38"s on it might be a bit much to load things in and out of, but maybe I just build a tailgate step.

That one is on my radar. I like it a lot because of the price (even needing head gasket) and the overall good shape it is in.

4x4 is not necessary. This won't see offroad, just going to be a figure piece. But I think the look would be better (though who is to say I can't lift it and put bigger tires on it anyway)

Based on prior experience, I'd say your wife.

Figure out how to level it out, add period correct old looking knobby tires and it will look sweet.

Plus the write up is pretty funny. Offer free beer for a year and get a price reduction on the acquisition of the truck.

Anybody want some old books? They look cool on the shelf, if nothing else. @Rice ? These were left in our house by the previous owners. I think they all date to the late 50's; too lazy to look again. Free. I won't ship unless you pay.

Looking for some old large heavy gears/sprockets to use as the base of a vise stand. Something like the pic below...likely from a dozer or excavator track. I can't find anything at local scrap yards, etc. found some on evilbay but damn not for 150 bucs after shipping for old junk.

If i can find mine, i've got the center console pad. I updated to a lexus es top hatch. I gotta find it, though.

I "should" be at Lake Mary Nell on the college campus Saturday morning sailing. If i have it, youre welcome to it.

I'll let you know if i can find it.

Need a seat belt latch for a 60, don't care if it's grey or brown. Seems I destroyed mine by crushing it between my seat box and the e-brake handle.
