When we showed up, they said that an even happened the weekend before and that they tore the trails up and they weren't sure how different everything was. I asked them if it was The Great American Crawl, and dude at the counter said "No, some veteran thing."

Turns out I was half right, Great american crawl partnered with a veterans group for this event and they were out there. They made two cool videos, and you can see a lot of the obstacles we hit. Should have added a /s. Basically all buggy lines. Fully built jeeps with tons and 40s in the videos

This matches what I've heard about good evening ranch. Lots of easy stuff and buggy stuff and not too much in between

I’d totally stick with that 1FZ-FE option if my engine blew up tomorrow…that pricing seems legit as well. I’ve been a GM truck guy my entire life and have had many 6.2s but there is just something about that inline 6 tractor motor in an 80 that makes me want to keep it that way

True. But a little more power and better mpg would be really nice. My 80 seems to be morphing into a rock lander. With a couple cross country trips under her belt and plans for at least one more, my plans for a future powerplant are changing as well.

Spark plug blew out. Beat against coil for 30 min, blew ign fuse and truck cut off. 2000 100 series. Installed thread insert, new plug, ign coil, and connector. Good as new

not today! Once we got it in the building, we could turn the crank, starter did not work, jumped relay, got it to spin, then followed wire diag and found shorted coil connector. Coil was still bolted to valve cover and looked normal.
