oh yes....wet red clay on a steep ass hill would not be conquered that day! Any attempt to spin the tires just got me further and further sideways into the trees so I really had no other choice in terms of different lines or just attempting to send it.

I will admit...the 80 walked up the same hill earlier in the week but it was bone dry at the time.

No better place to finally find use for your fancy winch than your own side yard at the lake house. Damn wet red mud doing what the mountains and rocks have yet to do.

Didn’t have my recovery bag with me full of additional straps, shackles and snatch blocks (in the 80 back home)...just one shackle from my hitch. 100ft of winch line and about 200ft to the nearest winch point (tree across the drive)….had to source a few lifting and tow straps with shackles from around town. Trees on all sides of me down in that bottom and every attempt to drive just got me more and more sideways into potential body damage. Hell we chocked the rear wheels and the damn thing started sliding back toward the lake with the chocks!
wowzer! That does look super slick! But super cool you had the winch and were able to get yourself out. Those are the best times. Also where's the lake house?

Very cool spent several times down there at a friends house when me and my wife were dating and first married. Great spot.
